How do I play this game?

Seriously after like 5 minutes of playing I run into 5 bandits who just own me, take me prisoner and steal all of my equipment. How am I supposed to get any progress now?

but seriosuly i know what you mean, i also have had similar problems,
even had a glitch where the ammo doesnt fill my weapon, i get the starting clip and even though ammo is equiped it doesnt work

those are no clips, only bullet packs for rifles. ammos for automatic weapons are named magazines.

i call them clips, fits my mind better,
the bullet packs if you prefer, just didnt give me any ammo

because they are for rifles or muskets, not for mauser pistols, like I said, they are bullet packs, not magazines.
