I would be an animator if I knew how to go about it.  As it stands, I know zero on the subject at the moment.

Beautiful, of course, but one question:  Why make the spartan shield bosses different colors/patterns?  Wouldn't that have detracted from the overall esprit d'corps, and whatnot?

I see that websites such as http://www.medievalcollectibles.com/s-73-greek-shields.aspx  show plenty of variations for ancient shields, but it seems odd to me that ancient armies would attire themselves so diversely.
