Today I realized that snow on the ground works exactly the way Murphy would desire: When you need friction it decreases the friction so that your feet or your car's tires slide over the ground. But when you happen to wish less friction (for example, when you try to walk through an intact snowy path) it pumps the friction up! God, Murhpy is an undead! He's everywhere.
