Canada pwns in sub-zero temperatures, so I'd understand if you didn't include them this mod.  Because otherwise they'd dominate within days of starting the campaign.

Since when does Canada dominate anything other than the occasional hockey game?

Not Canadian myself, but I'd like to point out that Canadian Special Forces teams are the shit. Their standing army on the other hand.

Edit : To clarify, by 'the shit' I mean they win, hands down.

While I must support the idea of more sci-fi mods, I can't help but point out that a nuclear war would probably not completely wipe out all Earth nations, that a partially terraformed Mars makes far more sense than a partially terraformed Moon, and that a completely self-sustaining colony on the moon would probably be impossible.

Then again, that has no significant impact on gameplay, and it doesn't mean your mod won't be fun to play.  I just have a thing about keeping the science in science fiction.   Best of luck with the mod, I'll sure play it if you finished it.

Not going to continue it into a discussion, but Mars is a lot farther away. If you sent a kid to live on Mars, he'd have to grow up on a space-ship before he even got there.

Months to a couple years or so, depending on the type of propulsion used.  But I see your point.

Back on topic, though, I am split between India and Brazil as the sixth faction.  Both are fairly advanced/strong nations today, and I could easily see either becoming a major power in the future.  India might already be moving towards people in space, though I'm not sure about that.  Brazil would be nice because it would mean that there'd be a southern hemisphere faction in the game.

Well let's face the fact that Russia had a better space program in the '50s than Mexico does now. So Canada! Blame them for the Lunar War!

I'd havo to say India, since they are coming to an impressive progress. In my oppinion, they have the most potential to become one of such forces.

And for factions, I voted India. As a Canadian, I'd like a Canada faction but really, we will never be a superpower. Hopefully the American's would let us tag along when they go to the moon.  Or maybe the American faction could be a North American Union or something like that.

Well, it seems that Canada was the winner. India will surely be voted in future polls, but anything could have happened in 2 centuries that would have made Canada a major power. Becoming a republic after UK became part of the EU nation, buying Alaska from USA and becoming an oil superpower, etc.

Now i'll have to find a good name and flag for them...

Voted Brazil on the grounds that India will probably have more problems with overpopulation and religious violence that might impede it's becoming a superpower.  But I'll concede that's just a guess.

If an eighth faction is added after Brazil, I'll vote India.
