I'll have to look over this in the next few days. But I think I'll probably be adding it to the WC mod.

Added a request for assistance in designing a new more interesting look for the command arrow, I'm not much of a modeler so mine was ripped right out of core_ui_meshes.brf

dstemmer, that's a really cool mod! Two questions:

1) Can you make some option to change the 'h' key to some other? Maybe put it as a string in module.ini, huh? Say, if not defined, then 'h', else 'user defined key'?
2) Can I use this in my mod?

Maybe it helps: this mod has awesome crosshairs, maybe can you talk to the author for any assistance. Good luck.

Yes, you can change the key, instructions are listed on the first page. However if you're willing to wait a day or so, I'm going to put up a tweaked version by Highlander. In his version you only have to hold down the "hold position" key for a second or so, and it brings up the arrow. It's a lot simpler I think.

I'd love to help you out with a new arrow. Is there any specific design you have on your mind?

That's so cool. I usually ride to the place I want my troops to be at, and order 'stand ground' - because it's hard to use the command interface precisely.

Someone should just put like countor lines on the minimap. Then you could use it

New version of the mod will be up today (with tweaks by Highlander).

Nope, by all means, go crazy with it. I'd like to point out that it's possible to have separate arrows for infantry, cavalry and archers if you were so inclined to design them.

Very nice, I'll definitely

download

I hope you can still change the key, now that it's connected to the 'hold position' key. I want it a bit closer  :)

Alternate version by Highlander posted. As stated before his version lets you hold down the "hold position" key for a second to pop up the arrow. It's not in the repository yet (I'll put it up tomorrow, too tired right now) but the first post shows how to integrate it with your mod. Just copy-paste over the old code in "module_mission_templates".

Adorno, with Highlander's alternate version you can change the key by going into the options menu and changing your hold position key.

Awesome, this would help with multiple formations if I take it up again and can find time, as I was thinking about trying to do this, but couldnt come up with a good way.

Fix it.

We can't help you.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong. I'd help you if you'd give more information. We're not psychic detectives here who can see exactly the problem you have, or the syntax error you're getting.

Have some common sense, people.
