We decided to pick up the work again of this mod to complete it. This because it was already quite far in development and shouldn't be that hard to make a full mod of this. Also this is the first mod that goes about the BeNeLux history so we hope that people outside the BeNeLux can experience our rich history!​

We are currently looking for people who want to reinforce our team in the area of;

- Moddeling/Texturing
- Modding

History​

In the mid 1500’s Karel V was the ruler of lands what are now the Netherlands and Belgium. Karel V let his kingdom to his son, Filips II, who was now the ruler of his kingdom. Because of the small riots that were going on Holland and Vlaanderen because of the raised taxes. Filips decided to sent the Duke of Alva to the Holland to suppress the rebellion. The rebellion started because the people in the Holland and Vlaanderen and Wallonië were upset about another taxes they had to pay. Alva decided to call a meeting of the leaders of the rebellion. Most of these leaders saw that it was a trap. But the most important leaders showed up and Alva arrested them and prosecuted them. This was the sign to start a overall rebellion in the whole land. This was also the start for the 80 Years of War.

Factions

- Holland -
Leader: Willem van Oranje
This faction will mostly contain out of German mercenaries and Geuzen. This because that Willem van Oranje had fled to Germany and from there he recruited his army. Geuzen were the first rebellions but did not really belong to an army or a faction. The Geuzen were rebellions from Holland and Vlaanderen from that time.

- Graafschap Vlaanderen -
Leader: Graaf Egmond
Vlaanderen (Flanders) was a very rich faction in that time because their cities were mayor centre's for merchants and traders. That made it possible for Vlaanderen to recruit well-trained horsemen that could wear heavy armor. And also because only the horses from Vlaanderen were strong enough to carry knights so that was a great advantage against their enemies.

- Principauté de Liège -
Leader: Prince Bishop Gerard van Groesbeek
The Bishopric of Liege , is located in the South-East of the current Belgium. That faction was controlled at that time by the Prince Bishop Gerard van Groesbeek. The Bishopric appointed them neutral against the war in Spain and so they kept out of the war for most of the time.

- Reino de España -
Leader: Duque de Alba
Español (Spain) will be the most powerful faction in the mod. This is because the army mostly existed from trained soldiers which are in comparision with Geuzen better trained and equipped. They will start with a town and several castles located in Luxembourg from where they will start try to conquer the map.

- Graafschap Fryslân -
Leader: Graaf Willem Lodewijk
The Frisians are located in the north of the Netherlands. Their trading mostly existed with Vikings of years ago. The Frisians have been in war with the Dutch quite some times about ruling several parts of the country. But this time they joined up with the Rebels against Spain.

- Comté de Hainau -
Leader: Comte de Valicien
The County de Hainau is centered the Bishopric de Liege and the County of Vlaanderen. They were in control by in that time by count de Valicien. In the time of the 80 Years of War they joined the Union of Atrecht were they swore peace with the Spanish King. Their units are currently not really fitted with the faction due the lack of time. In the next version they will have more unique armors and weapons.

- Hertogdom Brabant -
Leader: Frans van Anjou
The Duchy of Brabant was situated in the north of the current Belgium and to the south of the Netherlands. They were the first provence who turned against the Spanish and declared him the war. Their leader was a French prince who came from England to the Netherlands. Here the States-General declared him as a leader of Duchy Brabant to make a fist against the Spanish. Their units are in the same stage as those from Comte de Hainua so in the next version they will have more unique armors etc.

The map will contain Belgium, the Netherlands and a part of Luxemburg. The map is made on the base of this map.
