Thats are realy good news. Im most happy for mod compatiblity. I have just one question. Will allayed AI  be leaded by one player or every player will have som unist under his command. Seckond option will be great. That will enable using advensed tactics.
Sorry for my language this isnt my Native lenguage (it is modded ;) )
BTW will you relise it first for modders so they can port mopd before premiere.

Multiplayer M&B is like foreplay, entrees, tennis against a brick wall etc. It's good, but it's not the meat of it, at least not for me. My idea of fun is leading a challenging campaign against a dangerous foe, not having jumping headshot fps idiots running around shouting "pwnd".
Pro-tip: Join servers of people you like on the forum.

And surely, multiplayer would be playing tennis with another person, and the full game would be playing tennis against the wall.

It's been a while since I was last on the forums. I decide to have a quick look around and multiplayer has been announced, to be honest not what I was expected. I expect setting up multiplayer battles in such a way would make my old custom battle mod redundant, good thing too because I wasn't prepared to continue work on it.

Will there be any possibility of wearing personal banners on your shield/coat?

This could be cool, but unfortunately this would cause shields with Homer Simpson or Metallica on it  :cry:

I think you can't rely on the player's responsibility to choose adequate banners...  :roll:

 -We are trying to be very careful to keep compatibility with the existing module system. (So far the only incompatibility is in module_animations) Therefore, porting will hopefully be very easy.

Any chance of making that 'un compatible though? :P I've modified it quite a bit :P

The main reason we wanted to include multiplayer is so that we can play it ourselves. :P You can be sure we'll do our best to make it fun. I hate exploits and unrealistic tactics in games as much as you, so we'll do our best to avoid those.

Hey Armagan;

I've got a question, you might not be able to answer because you're busy with the work. One very common UNREALISTIC tactic in any game alike is jumping or running around in small circles to make your opponent's life a little tiny bit miserable, I hope that is also the exploit you hate and hope you fix on that.

This is great! I have been looking forward to this for a long time, as must of us have I am sure. As Arma pointed out they plan to allow players to host servers, thus the player servers can be set up (or moded) to that owners specifications.

This is very exciting and I look forward to fighting along or against many of the posters of this board...  >:o)

I would suggest against levels, otherwise it becomes a WOW fest of who has more levels.

I will be looking for one of the player servers that supports/mods more "real" combat and preferably one that requires the players to register with the host. This should eliminate some of the worst cheaters and hasslers.

If there are player controlled servers with the ability to Mod, you could simply submit your banner to the Host for approval and then once approved use it on that server.

I predict that player controlled servers will be much better than public ones. Look at the quality Mods we have to choose from. I look forward to servers that are strict on who plays on them being the best servers to be on. It would be great to have our own team banners and play against other teams of mature professional players. Heck I just might make my own server to make sure there is at least one.

It'd be nice if your unit and equipment were random. You never know whats gonna happen.  :)
Just look at Halo. Their Fiesta gametype is fun... You can spawn with weak sauce Plasma Pistol or Awesomeness of Lasorz!!!
