Well, it's an American sport, and we tend to recruit any foreigners who are any good, so the chances are that none of the foreign teams would be very good competition, anyway.

Nearly every game was close, except for the one the Rays took 7-2 (I think?).

I'd watch and pay attention to it if the players had fist fights with the umpires in order to decide a close call, similar to the ones in hockey.

Kind of. Pats blow this year, Philly is .500, Giants aren't bad, Jet's are average, D-phins are suprizingly good, Redskins aren't bad either.

Titans are dirty, but they aren't quite "east coast". Close though.

But, if you go by college, yes, the SEC dominates, which is a lot of east coast teams. (But **** Florida, Texas is going to kick Texas Techs ass tommorrow, and be on their way to the BCS game.)
