I grew up with a German mom, so cake is certainly better.

The only tiramisu I've actually liked was more like a cream pie than cake.

Tiramisu consists of mascarpone, coffee, cacao and cookies, and it is delightful, all the ingredients are good, together they combine to godly unity.

Fun when you make it for 70 people, you have several megajoules of desert...
 
Pie, definitely. Don't  get me started on tiramisu ... I can't get enough of the stuff.

What is with this pie/cake thing??  Someone just posted this exact topic in the Org Front Room too (Total War .Org forums).  Weird.
 
Well, setting fire to food is a surefire way to make it interesting (I once made it look as if I set fire to the salad), but rocket propelling seems a little difficult, might become the new fashion in delivery though...
 
One common use of cream pie is throwing it in people's faces. If it is rocket-propelled, it can be thrown from farther and the impact will scatter cream over a wider area.
