(Version 1.0) Errors
« on: September 15, 2008, 11:07:29 AM »
I have found some errors in the press release:

1. Nelag Castle: There seems to be a problem with the placement of a castle wall. A railing is floating in the air and you can fall down the wall.

2. Haringoth Castle: If I enter the keep and leave it via the door I land outside on a hill. Some soldiers are standing on this hill and in the background I can go over a siege tower to the walls where 3 clones of mine are guarding the wall.

That happens in other versions too... i once had to walk really far to kill him since i was the only one who could climb down the wall
All I'm saying with the first thing is if you have 3 play throughs then you should encounter more flaws. I have seen very little flaws whereas you have seen a gazillion.
That just means my standards are higher than yours.

By the way, the German translation is not very good.
What is the best way to fix it?

1. Start the game windowed and use the special command to extract the language files?
2. Wait for a German module system?

I sieged that khergit castle at the valley bordering vaegirhold and khanate.

My guys were standing on tight line, ignoring orders as they always do until tower is at place. Troops they were going to send to roll the tower arrived from the behind lines, and it was impossible for them to walk to the siege tower at time because my front troops didn't let em through and their pathfinding around the formation was a total failure. Meanwhile the enemy fired at us.

I had lost half my men to khergit arrows before the tower was at place, and victory was already impossible.

Let's just hope that the actual release has this fixed.

In the music folder you can find a very small file which sounds like a "heavy hit". I guess it does belong into the sound folder.

The courser seems to have a little clipping error on it's throat when galopping at full speed. Did you see it too?

The bolt in the light crossbow is still missplaced and you must reload your crossbow before you exit the battle or you will start the next battle with an unloaded crossbow.

Oh, and the most important bug of all, the Moon is upside down in the night sky... :P

Ha, I didn't even know it was possible for a spherical object (The Moon) to be upside down.  But if that's something you want to point out...
I think I'm gonna have to start calling you "The Negotiator", Spawn. And that's just one short step from Obi-Wan in my book.

When defending Hrus Castle, the Siege ladder is not placed at the wall, thus no battle can really commence. (except archers trying to somehow hit the soldiers that hide behind the siege ladders...)
It however *did* work well when *I* was attacking.

We only see one side of the moon. It's always the same side that we see, at all times. The moon and the earth rotate at the same speed. Plus, there are distinctive markings on the moon, such as the sea of tranquility.

As you can see, there are many different markings & landmarks, as it were, and seeing as how we only see one side of the moon, we always see the same formations. Thus, if you're at all familiar with the lunar landscape, you can tell that the in-game moon is upside down.

Well yes, but its still a sphere. I understand what you mean but a 2D circle can't be upside can it?
