Okay. I love the heraldry. It's insanely cool to see your soldiers using shields with your coat of arms on them. But I think everyone would agree that the one-texture-doesn't-really-fit-anything approach M&B has taken isn't really the best way to go about it. The textures are very low-res, which is fine for the little flag on the map, but makes everything else look really crappy. It also shows cloth folds painted on shields, and centers the heraldry on a coat's groin instead of the chest. More importantly, the vertical flag is about the only thing the texture can be mapped onto without clipping off large portions of it, which makes it pretty much impossible to make the heraldry fit.
So I'm proposing that instead of a dds file with a bunch of banner textures in it we should have a dds file for each individual banner containing textures for all the things that can have heraldry on them. A template, basically. That way the heraldry can be adjusted to fit each individual item, and we get rid of all the problems.
Admittedly, this would make banner creation somewhat more difficult and time consuming. On the upside, however, it would make importing banners into the game far easier. When someone requests a banner now, they get only that - the banner. They then have to download an image editor that can open dds files, paste their new banner into the banner file, resave the file, etc, etc, which is a lot of work for people who aren't image editing savvy. With my proposal they'll just have to replace one dds file with another.

Holy crap girl! Why u banned!?

But on task. ATM I just want shield type based heraldry. ATM a cracked Steel shield has a cruddy texture. A reinforced steel shield has a cruddy, beat up texture to. Would be nice to see some varying textures.

fanthor: and btw... one time i ordered my nords to use blunt weapons only... and after some minutes of afk.. 60% of the enemy is dead, and 40%unconcious.. Any explanation?

Agreed.  Still not sure why there are "crappy" shields for sale at all, personally.

Agreed with the personalised banners.

Another thing of heraldry are the Heraldry armors, in the front side you have you banner, but, the back side is white, maybe the color of your banner could continue in the back side of the armor.

This is the logical start for heraldry fitting on things....making every banner the same size to begin with...
