the first 160+ horse open-source mod graphics pack; see also my shield pack.

uses the m&b warhorse mesh; all additional graphics pulled from the internet and merged with the game .dds.

maw's Horse Pack v.960. 'Ride the Wild Pony.'




YOU HAVE TO ADD THEM ON YOUR OWN. if ya don't know how, check the threads.



if you have some horses you'd like to add, pm me.

skins are from a variety of sources, but quite a lot are from Argent Usher, over at the Medieval II: Total War Center. also in this pack are a couple of horses from DaBiggMan (RIP), and conversions from Chel's (now  ancient in modding years) Horse2.0 pack, Gallus Domesticus (from his new horses thread http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,33969.0.html), and i think a few from Predak.

i know i missed credits. pm me so i can add them.

no need to ask permission to use - remember to credit use for the contributors. - everyone likes a pat on the back.

nice one Maw - any modern   horse&musket gear in the packs?  Like C.17, c.19 etc?

there's stuff for a Musketeer mod, like I said, use what you want but don't get excited, quality is passable rather than great...

Ah!

They are mod textures for MTW2 - not from MTW2 itself.

A fine distinction, for which I got perms from the makers. maw

does anyone have the python lines or whatever they are called, the lines that go in the (item_kinds.txt text).
for these horses as i have tried and failed to do it myself

could u make some horses that are like paints? like that which native americans in the west ride? could u also make some bareback horses?

if you don't want to wait, read up on editing the dds files, and you could prolly do it yourself, and send me a copy.
