With Bannerlord we have added the ability for players to equip their beloved horses with different kinds of saddles and equine armour. However there was a key piece of equipment that didn’t look as well as it could: reins were left to hang over the horse’s neck in a static, lifeless manner, instead of being held in your character’s calloused hands as they should. This, of course, would not do.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/101

Who told you you're allowed to rein on my parade, taleworlds? I refreshed the page till 9 for this? .. I need a life haha

Very nice addition, appreciated.

Honest feedback; horses back doesn't feel natural at all, it looks like it is a wooden horse block with legs. I am guessing you made the body part one piece, you need to divide it.

I enjoyed this blog. Good writing, nice gifs, convincing explanations.

Edit:

Of course, you can still steer the horse as normal during the time you dropped the reins. And before you ask, yes that is completely historically accurate.

No need to be historically accurate, as long as it's fun to play!

I'm really pleased by this little feature; the reins not being held was a niggle that I've commented on a few times before, and I wondered whether they would do something about it and if they'd be able to make it look right. Despite the clipping of the weapons into the horse, those GIFs look really nice to me.

I feel like the spear could do with being titled some more when carried on the back. It looks like it's almost completely straight and going through the horse in the second clip.

I was quite worried when I read "Reins" on today's blog, but actualy, I think it was rather interesting and well written : not that much informative but that was enjoyable anyway (I already said it but I would really appriciate a more opened communication to follow this developement adventure more closely but I won't be too demanding either... so "always look on the bright side of life" as they said).

Thank you and nice week to you !
