Today we want to introduce you to a very important role in every development team. Every time a game designer thinks of a cool feature or an animator creates a beautiful movement, there’s someone who has to find a way to make it happen and implement everything in the actual game. You are right, we are talking about the programmers, those code magicians that turn designers’ wishes into reality – and then fix all the issues that usually follow every change: a video game is a very complex system, and changing even the smallest thing can create unexpected problems!

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/40

teaser of a teaser for a release in some form in 2018

great news for all the mods about custom skeleton (if you want Orcs, War Elephants, Dwarves, Giants, Giant Ants, etc you should be happy for it).

it is also clear the game is not in the last leg. Lots of stuff to do, lots to adjust, but at least it seems 2018 should be the year

The game looks amazing! Nice work, TaleWorlds. This game gonna be revolutionary just like the first Mount and Blade.

Greetings from the Brazilian Community.

The "can't talk about things for now but you'll see later" policy is pushing beyond the meme with bannerlord.
Anyway thanks for the blog and have good vacations boiz.

Also them foots in the gif are somehow oddly long !

It is not the minor factions I was hoping for, but this is equally good or better. It sounds like it will take a long time to truly master the combat of bannerlord. There will be a huge difference to how new players and seasoned players fight.

I am very exciting because this means that we can see a big skill requirement increase in competitive for top players.

Thanks again for your weekly blog posts, it makes me look forward to thursdays

The only thing better would be a release date!

I wonder if you bash someone who is in kicking animation would it make him fall on to the ground. That would be pretty cool.

Nice blog , thanks.

Animations look very fluid indeed. I wonder how we are going to be able to mod our own animations in. That will be quite interesting.

"Until now, we mainly worked on the tactics of formations and armies, but not the tactics on 1v1 fights. I believe that we will add some variety on that only after we feel like the AI is good enough and missing only unique tactics."

Doesnt that mean the game is still a long way off?

Anyways cool stuff, animations looking pretty awesome!

we can't tell you more as of now, but stay tuned: you wouldn't like to miss it! We wish all of you and your families a wonderful holiday and the best for the New Year. See you in a couple of weeks
A custom skeleton system that would support different creatures

So , I'm excited. It sounds like something big is coming just after the holiday hangover. I would love it to be a closed beta announcement. It sounds like they have several months worth of AI work to finish, though. And I'm excited about the potential for modding in elephants and wardogs!

Dear comrades, game developers! You did a lot of good! There are many reasons to praise you! And many praise you!
Today I will do without any special comments
But I have a wish - though I doubt that you will do it (now some will grumble at me), but I will say it. Two wishes.
First - can you get rid of Hollywood? Can you remove the swords (axes) from behind your back? I do not know about spears, and swords and axes do not exactly lie behind my back.
Second - in the early video of the siege (and then on other videos), the character makes such a gesture - rotates the weapon over the head, probably summoning the fighters to himself. This is a modern gesture of special forces. Maybe you should replace this gesture? For example - just poke the weapon (or empty hand) over your head from side to side. (for example - left to right)
I have everything for now. Thank you

Wow, look, even here the two-handed sword hanging on the belt! And it is right

It’s a vague rotating movement above the head, maybe in calradia it’s common place?
As for the weapons on the back, I agree it isn’t realistic, but I’m not sure how else weapons can be carried.
Maybe it could be done like in the deluge warband mod, where big weapons are dropped if you switch to a sidearm.
