I've got a quest from my KIng(Swadia) to defeat and capture an enemy lord. I've got into 10 battles and they all managed to escape. How do i do the quest then?

Wait for them to respawn on the map, then attack them again

i had the same problem  . if i donot have this kind of mission i can easily capture but when a lord gives me this misison  i can never capture any.  but i realized that if you attack the lords in the last 5 days ( the last 5 days to finish the mission)  then somehow you can capture it . i always able to capture the lords  in the last 5 days  . weird

Another Problem:
We destroyed all the Rhodok armies and captured all cities and castles(Swadia) so the rhodoks are no more.  But the problem is there are four lords and a king in my prison slots and no one will offer money anymore. They are a waste of space.

Hell, after beating like 10 swadian lords I finally caught one, and just when I finished my victory dance the bastard escaped from my party. That's like 1-2 hours after i caught him. I'd say - prison management skill should also reduce the chance of lords escaping...

Note: If anyone is annoyed at the capture rate of lords for the player, you can modify it in scripts.txt. The script is:
cf_check_hero_can_escape_from_player -1
11 21 1 1224979098644774912 2133 2 1224979098644774913 0 4 0 200 1 504403158265495583 1073742370 3 504403158265495583 2 1224979098644774912 546 3 504403158265495583 4 1224979098644774912 2133 2 1224979098644774913 1 3 0 31 2 1224979098644774913 0 2136 3 1224979098644774914 0 100 2147483678 2 1224979098644774914 80
That number at the end that I highlighted red (80 by default) is the % chance that heroes escape from the player. You could change it to anything from 0 to 100, 0 being capture them every time, 100 being escape every time. This doesn't affect the capture rate of npc v npc battles, only player v npc.

Link to other tweaks.

Magelord,  what is the line to change this 32 slots limitation on different units you can have in your army?  Any idea?

And thanks a million for that tip you gave, it helped wrinkle out all the fustrations  playing an unfinished game.  Hope this game ends up as one of the top 10 in history of gaming software in its genre.

You should be happy cuz I've been doing this quest for 20days, defeated countless Lords, successfully Assault 2 castle and successfully defended 1. In the end, I finally captured 1 lord. While i was running back to the King, I quick-saved right at the moment he escaped.

Yes, what does happen in this case? If peace breaks out, all lords are released, but if their faction is destroyed, they're supposed to slowly join other factions... can prisoners join other factions and be released or ransomed, or does Stormrage have to wait until they all escape?

I know you can sell captured lords back to their faction when a message appears saying you can, but im not to sure if you can sell lords to other factions...

It just doesn't work like that, that's all I can say really. Makes stakes a bit higher and the game more fun.

Yeh I find it more fun this way, means im going to fight a bit because if I lose...im screwed

not really. Here is my story. There was once a 90 strong Khergit army who lost half of its size to capture a lord called Imsorry. They were attacked by Imsorry alone 10 minutes after his escape and lost about 30 men. Several days later, Khergits got attacked by this persistent Imsorry again right after his escape. This time, however, Imsorry killed every single one of Khergits and freed his companions.

Conclusion: Don't mess with bulls, or you will get horn, especially the persistent ones called Players.
