Help me with this problem.

Okay so here's the deal. I cant run anything on PC when i install update. Basicly on some games i get error which says something about Generic Render **** or something. Now i have reinstalled every game on my PC i installed every possible DirectX and SDK i have reinstalled GPU and updated it. Everything seems to work fine before i have to update PC (The counting down update ****) So does anyone have any solution to this crap or do i have to reinstall my windows once again?

Second, I think we need to know your operating system, if that is indeed the 'update problem',
and the exact error message might be nice - other than "some ****".
