Working on a large scene for NW

So, I wanted to make a scene featuring hedgerows and this is what I have come up with so far (pictures from newest to oldest):

In the older files the large mansion/chateaux appears incomplete, but at the moment it is all but finished. More specifically, all the exterior walls are finished, it only needs to be divided internally and decorated.

The map is max size so it would require a large number of players to play with. It's also already 750 or so KB and it's not even finished, yikes. I'll release the file on dropbox when it's done.

The largest hedgerows are blocked with barriers, but I you can still fire through them (as far as I know). I haven't really decided if the map is for LBs or pub games, but I imagine it would only function well on LBs- in a pub game, the smaller hedgerows that players can hide in would be a complete nightmare for the bolder players who don't like to camp on their half of the map. To solve this, I could lower all of the small bushes so that if you're crouching in them your head is visible, though this would actually take quite a long time to do (instead of raising every prop individually I could just slightly raise the height of the terrain under and around the bushes.)

Right now there's still quite a bit of work to do, decorate the chateaux, add some farmhouses to the farmland, and finish the harbor (at the moment there's only houses as a template, not every houses in the harbor is going to be the same model).

I'll say it looks neat but man, the FPS and download times will suffer.  Out of curiosity, what was the default map terrain.(hilly, flat, the crappy default one, or did you start with one you made.)

I just started with a flat map and made the terrain myself.

So your map was 1kb big, before you modified it, or did you make it flat and go from there?  i ask because you can drastically cut the dl for maps depending on the map you are making by starting with the terrain you want. (or close enough to it)

I started with a flat map.

You raise a good point about starting with the terrain you want but it's kind of late for that.
