MAP SUBMISSIONS
INFORMATION
The European Championship Series is still in need of maps. We are primarily looking for open and mixed maps.

The feedback team will review your map and compile a list of points for improvement.
DOs & DON'Ts
Azan has put together a list of Do's & Don't's to aid mappers as a guideline.
- Water may only be accessible if it is no deeper than a players knees.
- Steep slopes (above 45 degrees elevation) must be avoided if accessible, shallow or small parts including such slopes may be permitted
- The map must support Battle, DM and TDM
- Map borders need to be clearly marked, ideally with an obviously impassable barrier (on open maps this may be more relaxed, but please provide some markers for borders)
- Team spawns must not be in sight of each other
- All locations on the map should have multiple access points, if you have a tower, you need two ways to the top
- Entry points such as ladders or stairs up to firing positions should not allow the firing position to crossfire the access point (this may be
- Terrain should be smooth and not include obvious triangles and jagged edges
- The map should have a consistent theme and should not mix object types from different biomes (i.e. sarranid castle next to a nord castle)
- Flag locations should offer several approach routes and should not be in a cul-de-sac or have limited access, they should be accessible by all classes
- The ground should not be cluttered with objects, try to place smaller props against larger ones and tuck them away against walls where possible
- The map must provide acceptable fps to the majority, do not include 1000 candles, use reasonable amounts of objects to create detail. You don't need hundreds of apples to convince a player it is an apple stall
