Very good point, the question is flawed.

I'm seeing a lack of Babylonia. They were a big player "back in the day." Creating many technologies and bringing different civilisations together, was one of their greatest achievements.

I'd say Jesus, for no other reason than the fact it was the Christians who ended up taking over basically the entire world and not the Muslims.

Whoever was directing the leaders of the people that spread Christianity is the most influential person or people of known history. Muhammad was influential but nowhere near those people.. Jesus was not influential at all.

Im no christian nor muslim not any other religion, but im also not atheist.
But i can say that muslims are more influental (just look where the spread was from mauritania to Indonesia!)
