Servers will be central U.S. (Chicago) unless both captains agree on an alternate server location. After the match begins, if server performance is found to be lacking, a captain can request a server change, to occur in between sets. The new server must be within the time zone already agreed upon, unless both captains agree to move elsewhere. There will be no further server changes unless both captains agree.

If captains cannot agree upon which server to play their match, the match must be played on one of the provided UNAC servers.

      • The map pool will be chosen from 2 categories, consisting of Open & Closed maps. A random selection process will be used to select the maps for each week's fixtures. No map shall be played more than once during the round robin portion of the tournament. In the event a match is tied, the tiebreaker map will be selected beforehand as part of the fixture process.
      • Duels will decide whether a team wishes to be attacker or defender. Duels will be played best of 3, and must take place in the center of The Cage. If requested by a duelist, captain, or an UNAC administrator, all non-duelists must join Spectator.
      • The team that wins the duel gets to choose attacker or defender. The defending team gets first selection for map and spawn. The attackers then choose their faction, and the defenders choose theirs. Factions may not be mirrored, nor may they be reused on the second map. The second map is chosen by the attackers, who also pick their spawn. Defenders choose faction first on the second map, and attackers choose faction second. Again, no repeated/mirrored factions are allowed.
      • If a UNAC referee or present administrator should deem that a duelist is needlessly delaying a duel, that duelist's captain shall be notified and will be forced to choose another duelist from his team. If that team's new duelist also delays, his team will forfeit the duel.
      • Khergit Khanate is not a usable faction.
      • After scheduling a match,  if a team captain should find out that some of his players will not be able to make the match, he must notify the opposing team captain of his inability to field seven players (minimum 24 Hours notice). Then they must try and reschedule the match. If it can be proved that an opposing Captain did not notify the other captain before the 24 hour notice deadline, then they must try and muster up 8 players from their roster for the agreed upon time, otherwise they forfeit the match. If both captains agree to reschedule, the match can be rescheduled without forfeiture.
      • The match will consist of four sets, comprised of rounds. Two sets will be played on each map. Each set will be played first to four to win. At the end of each set, teams will swap sides. At the end of two sets, the attacker will choose a map and the remaining two sets will be played.
      • Teams must field 8 players to start a match or a set. If one team loses players mid-set and is forced to drop down to 7, then they can play it out 7 versus 8 for the remainder of the set. They then need to get an 8th player ready in time for the beginning of the next set. If, by the time of the next set, that team does not have 8 players, it forfeits the rest of the match. Teams are not expected to drop to 7 players to match numbers, and no set shall begin with fewer than 8 players per side.
      • If a team forfeits mid-match, all rounds already played shall be scored as they were won and lost while all remaining rounds shall be scored for the opposing team.
      • Upon the change of a map, the first round will not be live, unless both captains agree otherwise.
      • Each team captain, co-captain or team representative will be permitted to call for a "reset" only once per set; it must be called in the first twelve seconds of the 1st round.
      • Tied rounds will not be counted.
      • Only team members, referees, administrators, and streamers are allowed to be Spectators of matches unless captains agree to allow other Spectators.
      • Teams will not be permitted to spawn in a 9th player for the purpose of dropping gear for his team. Should a player of a team pick up the equipment dropped by the team's surplus player, a round will automatically be rewarded to the opposing team. Should the offense be especially egregious, a complete forfeiture of the set will result.
      • Substitutions for players may occur between rounds.
      • Teams will not be permitted to needlessly delay. Should a Captain have a grievance about delays, the following is what will be qualified as a needless delay:
        • The duel must start within 10 minutes of the agreed upon start time. Should a team delay beyond this, they will lose the duel.
        • The first set will begin not more than 10 minutes after the end of the duel. Should a team delay beyond this, a round, from the set, will be awarded to the opposing team for every 3 minutes that pass.
        • Attacker or Defender, must be chosen within 5 minutes after the completion of the duel. Should a team delay beyond this, they will lose the right of choice and it'll be chosen for them.
        • Sets must start within five minutes of the previous set. Should a team delay beyond this, a round, from the next set that has yet to be played, will be awarded to the opposing team for every 3 minutes that pass.
        • Maps must start within 10 minutes of the previous set. Should a team delay beyond this, a round, from the next set, will be awarded to the opposing team for every 3 minutes that pass.
      • If a UNAC Administrator or referee requests a server administrator to print ID's, the server administrator must do so.
      • During matches any all-chat messages that are deemed to be malicious, racist, or bullying towards an individual on another team may be grieved and potentially disciplined upon review. This would start with loss of rounds and/or expulsion of player, and go from there as needed.

    • Each week, teams will go against their designated opponent. The teams will have exactly one week to complete it. The week will start each Wednesday and end at the end of the following Tuesday.
    • With the Swiss bracket, it is imperative that teams complete their matches within the allotted week, as the next round of the bracket cannot be determined until all matches have been completed. Therefore, the admin team has had to come up with a strictly enforced policy regarding delays:
      • If teams have not completed their match by Tuesday at 12am EST, then they will be forced to play on a day of the admin team's choosing. As time will be of the essence (so that teams can schedule their next round of matches), Wednesday or Thursday are likely to be chosen.
      • A minimum of 2 out of 4 of the admin team will meet asap and review the scheduling attempts made by both teams. A decision will be made determining which team has made more of an effort to schedule the match.
      • The admin shall then set a date and time (within the following few days) for the match to happen, favoring times that are preferred by the team which was deemed to have made more of an effort to schedule. If the efforts of the concerned teams seem relatively equal, then the admin shall favor neither team.
      • If said teams are not able to get the match done at the newly appointed time, then the admin shall decide the final score of the match, and there shall be no recourse for either team. Whichever team made more of an effort to play shall be granted the victory.
      • If teams should have chronic scheduling issues (multiple rulings required by admin team), then the admin shall have to become involved in their scheduling efforts, and the team will lose its right to schedule autonomously.
    • At the end of the initial ladder, teams shall be seeded based upon match win/loss ratio. Should teams have tied seeding, the tie will be broken by points difference (total rounds scored minus rounds given up). Should teams still be tied, teams shall be given one week to have a tie-breaker.

So, to make the adjustment to this change as smooth as possible, we ask all teams to post their scheduled match times in the appointed forum thread. Be proactive and cooperative with your scheduling. If you are having issues locking down a time with your opponent, save PMs and Steam chats to provide as evidence of effort to present to admins should they have to rule on it. Also, please review Rule #6 in the General Rules which pertains to providing 24-hour notice to cancel/postpone matches. The admin team sincerely hopes we can avoid any scheduling/delay problems this season.

  • The top four teams of the round-robin will participate in this stage. This stage will be completed with the Single-Elimination tournament style, lasting only two weeks.
  • Teams will face an opponent each week and will have exactly one week from the posting of the weekly thread to complete it. Delays will be granted on a case by case basis. If a team is defeated in this stage, they are eliminated from the tournament.
  • Advances in this stage will be determined by match wins.
  • In the event of a tied match, the teams will need to compete on a third map, which will be played as if it was any normal map. In the event that it remains a tie after the third map, the match will need to be rescheduled unless both teams agree to play a fourth map. In the highly unlikely event that the match remains tied following the tiebreaker maps, this will continue to be the rule: the match will be rescheduled unless both teams agree to play on until one wins the tiebreaker.
  • Teams may not have player additions to their roster during this stage.

[*]Each team must represent at least one official NA clan, International clan, or a reasonable organization. An official clan is one that has an active member base (essentially, if the clan is not dead). A reasonable organization is, but not limited to, a country, a team from a previous tournament, and a group of casual players.
[*]Teams must have at least twelve unique players. Upon registration, the team captain must post ID's of each of their players alongside their name.
[*]In order for a team to register, they must decide upon a "Captain" to handle all issues with the tournament for their team and at least one "Co-Captain" to do the Captain's job when he is not available.
[*]Teams can add or remove players until the fourth week of the tournament. A team captain must post in this thread with the addition to his roster (including the additons ID) before the time of the match was scheduled if he wishes to play that player in that match.
[*]Once the tourney starts, player additions and trades can take place to a maximum of two players per week until the week 4 deadline.
[*]Teams may not trade players, meaning a player from a previous team cannot join a team participating in the same season, after the final day of week 4.
[*]If a player plays for one UNAC team during a week (defined here as a "UNAC Week", Wednesday-Tuesday), they shall be ineligible to play for any other UNAC team during that same week.

If there is a match dispute by either participating team during any match, the administrators will review it privately with the team captains. If no solution comes of this, the administrators will decide whether to re-do that match under Administration Supervision or to leave the match alone the way it is. If the match dispute occurred during the match, both teams must finish the match and contact an administrator afterwards. If the dispute could have been easily solved by reading the rules, then the teams will receive a warning. If either team has a similar match dispute later, they will receive penalties. Tournament administrators are ineligible to make rulings on matters directly affecting their own team.

NOTE: Violations of the rules above and the cheats below are punishable by the Adminstrators of the tournament. Punishment will be decided by the administration team up to a expulsion of the offending player or team from the current and future seasons.

  • Altering files for an advantage. Cosmetic changes, such as round timers and crosshairs, do not count.
  • Exploiting glitches on maps. Glitches are defined as areas in match which, if exploited, gives one team an advantage over the other that was not intended by the map maker.
  • Joining of another team's voice communication to gather information.
  • Anything deemed as cheating by Administrators unanimously.
  • Playing for a team which you are not on the roster of.

But I needz to know whether I should be happy or sad about dem fixtures. I dun feel like being forced to play on bahd maps.

Captains have a say in the maps, we haven't finalized it. If that makes ya feel betta.

Rule changes 10/8/2014!

Addition of Rule 18: During matches any all-chat messages that are deemed to be malicious, rascist, or bullying towards an individual on another team may be grieved and potentially disciplined upon review. This would start with loss of rounds and/or expulsion of player, and go from there as needed.

Specification of Rule 3: Duels must be fought in the center of The Cage (We removed the option to choose The Arena, and we've specificed that the duel must take place in the center.)
