This mod is unlikely to be continued.A Kingdom in Turmoil
From the ashes of a nation, legends riseThe king of Aranthia has been slain- his land conquered. From across the seas, the foul Veradan invaders strike. Setting fire to the very foundations of a once-mighty kingdom, they are relentless in their invasion- they will not halt until every brave soldier who calls himself a servant of the rightful crown has been put to the death.
With the armies broken and leaderless, the king's most trusted generals and advisers, along with the remainders of the Aranthian army, have fled into the ancient mountains of their land. They have long stood as sentinels of the kingdom, and now they have never been needed more. As the invaders seek to strengthen their hold in the occupied lowlands of Aranthia, the remaining resistance plans their next assault from their fortified mountain-hold. Times have never been more grave for the weakened loyalist army as the winter ice begins to thaw, and the invaders mobilize once more.
Hopelessly outnumbered, Aranthia's only chance is to strike hard and fast against the Veradan while they still have strength. The war hangs in a deadly balance.
Soldier- as an officer of Aranthia, your mission is to break it!
This mod features:-A completely new map, with new names
-New units & NPCs
-A new style of play- tired of raiding villages and castles aimlessly and for a cause you care nothing about? Prepare to fight desperately against overwhelming odds for the just crown of Aranthia
-Tons of Dialogue/story involved.
As mentioned before, this mod's main purpose is to make the player feel like an actual officer, as your commanders give you briefings, orders, and missions that mean something.
As for the gameplay, everything is about actual, real impact. Instead of fetching cattle for villagers and prisoners for kings, you willl be advised by a commander (The quest menu will not be used for major missions, you will simply be ordered to do actual things.. i.e. raise more troops from friendly nations, capture castles). The best part is that none of this require any hard coding at all, and it makes sense. Missions that you complete will help the war effort, not just your reputation and wallet.
FactionsAranthiaThis nation has never been weaker- its armies are small and rare.
It has 2 Cities (mountain capitol- old, rubble-ey), Cave city
4 villages,
2 castles/outposts.
You may be wondering how you will ever raise an army. We expect you to be... creative (the problem is not how many men your leadership skill allows, but how many men you can find)
VeradanA strong force of ambitious nobles backed by armoured cavalry and infantry. They are wealthy, well supplied, and have an abundance of troops ready for employment or already in their parties.
Has-
3 Cities,
9 villages,
5 castles
CamaldriaOld, honourable nation- renowned for its chivalric knights, and is a staunch supporter of the Aranthian resistance. Weaker than Veradan, and is seperated from Aranthia by a great distance. They have been subject to large attacks from Veradians and sea raiders.
2 Cities
6 Villages
3 Castles
Inquisition (Low Priority)Full of religious fanatics, the Inquisition seeks to cleanse the "heretical" lands of Aranthia of all sinners- Veradan, Aranthian, and Camaldrian alike.
Comes via sea, invades towns- kills
everything Units: Aranthian: Aranthian Recruit- Aranthian Footman-Aranthian Infantryman- Aranthian Lesser Noble
Aranthian Archer- Aranthian Marksman
Aranthian Squire- Aranthian Knight
Veradan: Veradian Recruit- Veradian Footman- Veradian Infantryman- Veradian Conqueror

- Veradian Cavalryman- Veradian Knight
Camaldrian: Camaldrian Recruit- Camaldrian Footman- Camaldrian Swordsman- Camaldrian Defender
- Camaldrian Huntsman- Camaldrian Ranger
-Camaldrian Champion- Camaldrian Paladin
Inquisitors: Fanatic- Flagallent- Witchhunter- Chaplain- Inquisitor- Grand Inquisitor
-Crusader- Knight-Priest-
Troop Looks:Aranthian- Dark blue uniforms, however most low-level troops will have an assortment of mis-matched clothes to symbolize their lack of supplies and equiptment.
Veradian- Leather armour for archers and low-level troops, plate armour, chain mail for infantry. Low-level cavalry will wear mostly leather, and Knight's will have full plate mail. In other words, nothing special about this army- neither poorly equipped nor richly.
Camaldrian- Heavily armoured- almost every soldier besides recruits and rangers/huntsmen will have some form of plate mail. Footmen will have chainmail.
Inquisition- Mainly robed. Some Grand Inquisitors and Knight-Priests will have plate armour.
What YOU can do:Contribute models such as (do not need dragons, ninja wizards, broomsticks, Monkey dishwashers):
Fancy armour, swords, occasional uniforms- don't expect glittering eyecandy from this mod.
I am in need of scenes. More specifically:
-Bustling Port (will later be conquered by Inquisition. Also a good place to gather troops, sell equipment)
-Snowy outpost (if one exists from vanilla, please tell me- I tend to forget.)
- Cave City; civilized, good, strong architecture.
I will make the stronghold, as I have a very certain picture in my mind.
Fear not, I'm not completely new to modding:
I am a capable coder (I may need help with some things, though), and overall motivated modder.
Screenshots: I strongly encourage you to comment.
