Mouse keeps returning to same position (Windows 8)

Well, Windows 8 wanted to update today, and to made that red bar overlay on my screen. But then, it decided to make my mouse return to the same position every quarter second so I couldn't click either "restart" or "later. Posting from a different computer right now; this is really annoying the **** out of me.

Sounds like some background/foreground app is acting like a 3D game and reading mouse input before resetting the mouse position.

Try using your keyboard only to get into the task manager and look for suspicious programs.
