None of my units will move with me at the start of a battle

I'm not sure if there is already a topic about this and I'm about to head out of the house so don't have time to search right now so sorry if this has already been discussed. At the start of every battle My cavalry refuses to move! They just stay bunched up together. My archers move up about 20 paces and spread out but won't take a step further. I'm not sure what the infantry does but I know they won't charge or follow me. Can I get some help? I helped a village fight off bandits and my units worked fine for that but then I opened the cheat menu and took food out of it (I hate having to travel to multiple cities/villages for food). Could using the cheat menu have caused it?

The units hold position without gushing forward. Press 1, 2 or 3 for the units and then F1 to set them to charge or hold position.
