how to remove the "hunt down XXX" mission?

I'm getting tired of having to spend 30+ minutes per mission trying to find a needle in a stack of needles in these massive village maps.  Is there a way to remove this tedious mission from the game entirely?  If so, how?
 
Are you talking about the Guildmaster quests? The quest where you have to defeat a particular noble? That quest is bugged to hell; it's impossible to complete it.
