The mod itself is currently in between as the team is busy or working on other projects. One of the mods is a Colonial Spin Off set a few years before this one in a different land.

We'll get back to ironing this beast out soon though.

Hi, Just want to say what an awesome mod I really love the idea! Excellent work but......... just one thing...... could you please make the musket sounds a lot better please they are pretty lame!

Include the Freelancer mod in this and you get perfection! Just contact the authors of Freelancer they made it available to be integrated in other mods.

This mod would be great if the torch would be passed to a dedicated team or modder willing to flesh it out. The mechanics are right there, It just needs some more OSP models of the 18th centry stuck in proper textual dialogue for the era (I still have my version for this project kicking around) a modified back story setting the era (once again still got the projects stuff) and it really is a good to go classic for those who want a Fantasy version of The Age Of Reason.

I'd say the mod right now doesn't have much more to do. I've been looking for anything that was some sort of alternate Napoleonic Era and the dragon thing just wasn't for me.

Gameplay wise, It does the stuff but visually it looks terrible. The uniforms for all the factions are all over the place or clearly being reused as the OSP content with the mod was incredibly limited.

I worked on trying to make a better back story with the thing too. It needs updated back story and dialogue/NPC strings. Without these things it is just Warband 18th century Panto. Still Warband but people are wearing tri-corn or shako instead of helmets and chainmail.

The mod team has been given full permission in using assets from Twilight of The Sun King by the mods developers. We will also be considering a name change and new thread in the next release. The team however needs to grow and the following people are needed:

People with experince in scripting and Warband content conversion skills.
Texturers.
People with scening experince (you'll be tweaking scenes mostly).
People with general good graphic art skills for in and out game media.

If interested in helping out please add Frenzied on STEAM and talk with him about it.

Gentlemen, the new name has been decided and the mod itself is renamed now to the more eye catching title of the Calradia Imperial Age.

The written lore and back story has been finished up and in the next day or so the Mod DB page will be tidied up and made more visually appealing and informative. Here are some screenshots of soldiers of the descendents of some of the original M&B factions.

Once again we put out a general call to increase the feel and look of this mod. We have been given permission to use the wonderful assets of Twilight Of The Sun King (thank you guys) but we really could do with somebody with a talent for scening to add such content into the world of Calradia. This includes the possibilities of building or editing the castles to look like 18th century-esqe fortresses.

We are in need of a scripter or coder who can edit and tweak the general appearince and text of the interface menu and make it look much less medieval fantasy.

We are looking for somebody with model texturing experince to add a little bit more independent flavour to the provided and OSP assets.

We are also in need of a dedicated image artist who is willing to provide a bit of colour and setting to both interface and general mod promotional materiel and possibly banners as well.

All help is welcomed as it moves this mod one step further away from 'Just a Warband mod with muskets' into something a bit more different. We have the assets, animations and a stable combat model that makes the gun powder era stuff fun but we now need people to really give this mod a proper late 18th century feel.

Anyone seriously interested in helping out, add and get in contact with Frenzied on STEAM here.

The mod is still a WIP yes, we're looking for a few more people to round out the team. It really just needs some fleshing out.

Frenzied has been slogging away the last few months unlocking the secrets of BRF model editing and texturing. He's just redone the shako for several nations and given them new badges!

Presenting some the soldiers of the Kessick Khergit Hetmanate! the rest are on the Mod DB page.

A little back story on these guys!

They have a saying in the north once a Nomad always a Nomad. And that seems to be still the case with the Kessick clans of the Kessick-Khergit Hetmanate whether they as descended from the once famous Khergit horde or the more modern Southernised Vaegir influenced clans that dot the plains and river banks of the vast amount of untamed territory that once was the land of the Khergits. The Kessick-Khergit Hetmanate is a strange beast of a nation split like their eastern neighbors. A crude form of musket democracy exists between these Kessick clans that rule the plains.

The last few decades have been especially interesting as under a motivated and intelligent leader who wants to do more than just ride and raid the borders of the surrounding nation Grand Hetman Slavovich was not born a fool that is for certain. Using nothing but bold influence and luck he risen to the head of his Kessick clan one of the major contributors of modern training and technology the Zazershovy clan and has been handed the Hetman baton. Knowing that his eastern neighbors will not be weak forever and that sooner or later the Tzarina might be persuaded to look north into their own lands for the precious resources her nation needs to fully modernize he is determined to evolve the Kessick nation into something stronger.

But whilst he has persuaded some of his people to put down their sabers for now and begin reinforcing and rebuilding the crumbling old ruins of the Khergit fortresses and the walls of their own towns he knows they cannot fight alone. Sending private letters to the UNP and Rhodok governments and performing daring public acts that declare his contempt to the more older Imperial powers he hopes to buy his struggling strange nation time. For soon the Kessick hordes will ride for glory, whether they wish to or not in the on coming great war.

Culture: Their culture is extraordinary. They are divided by old ways and new technology, and it’s people have an almost mythical bond with beasts of burden. Despite their barbaric appearance and archaic craftsmanship, they are extremely intelligent, rebellious and aggressive men and women that the southern nations fear. Despite the huge cultural gap, the Vaegirs and Khergits have bonded for the betterment and survival of their nation. However there are also old nomads that despise the newcomers, and have abandoned the land and head up the steppes in the hopes that they can come back stronger and more lethal than ever which creates a lot of tension between the northern nomads and the Vaegir settlers.

And finally, we'd like to thank the whole Twilight Of The Sun King crew for giving us permission to use their assets to help create this faction. Next up is the Sarranid Empire!

I like that the Kessick-Khergits still follow an overarching purple color scheme. I'm assuming that the other nations' uniforms will follow similar patterns?

Well sort of. We've done what we can, but we need our texture artist to go over and tweak the facings a bit for the Vaegir uniforms giving them a bit of dark brown.

The Sarranids will of course more or less have the same colour scheme as they have in vanilla. I'm looking forward to slowly revealing the NPC replacements in the next couple of weeks too.

We're also on the look out for anyone with good Photoshop and Image editing experince to mock up some custom art for the game, including a logo, banner, signatures and most importantly modern style coat of arms for each nation.

This weekend I'll be doing the last version of the dialogue tweaking it for the companions who'll be tweaked to suit the time and era the module is set as well.

We are proud to present, the Gun Powder era Sarranid Empire!

The Sarranid Empire is almost torn into two parts in this strange and modern age, the weakest of the old powers now incredibly aware in the infamous sack of Shariz which exposed the martial corrupting, weakness and inefficiency of a system that a century ago was considered undefeatable. The aging Sultan Fazouk personally feels this as he struggles to not only find a proper heir with what little loyal members of his court not opposed to his constant attempts to modernize his nations whilst appeasing the nations he has borrowed vast amounts of money from to jury rig his once famous army.

Outside the walls of his Imperial domain villages and other settlements are prey to roaming desert bandits and coastal raiders who have thrived due to the nation who has not even attempted a modern navy. The borders of his nation are barely defended by the warring tribes descended from the last free Khergits and constant raids on foreign land based traids by the fearsome Vaegir Cossack that humiliated him and his very people. If his hands were not tied by aggressive hard liners who wish to keep their almost feudal positions in the parts of his army his expensive reforms have not touched he would have attempted to appease his rapidly literate growing population with much needed civil and religious reforms. His only hope is either a successful alliance with the Tzarina in crushing the rogue nation of Kessick Horsemen or a well timed invasion into the richer lands of the Rhodok.

A thank you again to the Twilight Of The Sun King crew for their assets .
