Hello there
Rigale V0.10 is released
A WORD OF WARNING !!
1/ There can be bugs, there can be unbalanced features. report them please.
2/ Rigale is for warband vétérans, that are looking for deep world interactions. Rigale IS NOT shiny, nor very intuitive. It is not a major Mod, just a work of some kind of passion.

http://www.nexusmods.com/mbwarband/mods/3611/?

Knowledge feature is Ok. For the custom settlements, only the basics of the system are here, I would like to have feedback for expanding this system.

Released with Source, make good use of it

Knowledge:
Knowledge improves the interactions in almost every ways.
You can gain knowledge through recuiting wisemen in towns, reading books, and researching some knowledge focused knowledge, like curiosity, Learning, teaching, and so on. You will gain a little bit of knowledge regularly anyways.
However, everytime a knowledge is discovered, another one is randomly discarded. You CANNOT research all knowledges. NO TWO GAMES will ever be the same, knowledge Wise. This may be the most controversial feature, but was added on purpose.
Knowledge is the basic of your civilisation: It improves not only your character, but also will define what action you can take, what troops you can recruit, what buildings you can build in your custom settlements.

Custom settlements.
You can build as many custom settlements as you want.
A word of warning: Settlements are very sensitive, especially in the beginning. Make sure they have plenty of food, or they will disappear.
Food gathering is very low in winter.
Custom settlements are very basic, I will expand this depending on some feedback, if I ever have some.

I hope you enjoy.
Take care all

Downloading now, I will get back for feedback as soon as I played it. Thanks, Cernunos, I love Rigale.

EDIT: FEEDBACK

The Good

-Many features we loved in Rigale and many more(like custom settlements, knowledge etc). Awesome stuff and very immersive for role-play. No more know-it-all, good-all-around characters.
-Very good presentation, menus, graphics, artwork et cetera.
-A higher level of challenge. Not exactly raised difficulty, but with the fog of war, lots of bandits and the wandering skill travels can be a challenge(enjoyable, to say the least).

The Not-So-Good
My only two complaint is thess:

-Not so many new (equippable)items. Why? Thereare tons of OSPs that take a little time to be implemented. Horses, weapons, armors, faces, everything. Of course, everyone can use any of that in his own game, but though tediously easy, it's boring. Only that...
-The nature of the mod takes a little from the "conquest and command" aspect of the game. Sure you can do that, but there are so many features to explore and so many new aspects that it is difficult to focus in the military aspect.

Otherwise, it's a truly great mod. I would give it a 8.5 out of 10 without thinking it. Amazing mod, Cernunos!

I would hardly complain about this if I were you. Given most of the present modifications filled with OSP only.

Yeah, it's only a very minor thing. Just some new weapons and armor, maybe a couple of horses, not an item tide. But the mod is so amazing that nobody notices sth like that.

Thanks for the warm feedback, I really appreciate it A LOT .

To answer your item question: You have noticed I specialized into game menus, triggers, scripts, stuff like that. I always wanted to work on the systems and features , more than on the shiny part of it, especially because there are tons of mods that are doing this very well.

So I never looked deep into this issue, especially because it takes place into Calradia. But now that I added new troops, new models would make a lot os sense. So I WILL look into it. Already spotted some stone age weapons that would be great for the neandertals, actually ^^.

BTW, is there an easy access OSP models Library available, or would I have to use the one on the forum ?

Lol ^^. This is EXACTLY why I created Rigale. To give something else to do beside command and conquer ^^.

Thanks again for the feedback

Hey, thank YOU for the great mod. Now, for the command and conquer thing, it's a minor thing for me, really. So far I have a great time with my begginer horse-archer/wanderer/trader/cook. It's quite amazing.

As for the items, you could look into it, especially with the new troops, who need also factionized items. Now, to my knowledge, the only "list" of OSP resources is this, but it's Very outadated. But, I downloaded every OSP from our MBReposiory(or Nexus), Caballeros de Calradia and RusMnB(not overlaping the ones from the reposiory, of course) and I have organised them into categories. So, if you want, you tell me what you will need and I will give you the exact address of the OSP for downloading.

Could you change the camping rolls to make critical fails less frequent? I get that a major advantage of cities is easy, guaranteed rest, but it just makes no sense that a mildly tired army can get exhausted by sitting around in a camp, and that is literally what happened to me, and I actually had a some training in camping.

Alternatively, keep the rolls as they are, but change the malus to no rest + slowdown for X hours.

This might be a bug.
camping, until you get good, is really bad. Think some kind of "attrition". Until you become really good. Don't forget you can recruit camping specialists, that will help you get better scores. I will have to check, But I think setting up a camp increases your exhaustion regeneration.

@ Antonis, thanks for the help. I would be looking for historical stuff (zulu shield, roman armor and weapons, hoplites armor and weapons, stuff like that)

Yes, I completely get this, but I think that sitting in a camp, on a ton of food, in peacetime in friendly territory is not likely to make soldiers more tired than they were before they started camping. I mean, once you set up the camp, the most tiring thing you could possibly get is what, gathering firewood?

I think that what could actually happen if you totally failed at camping is your troops deciding to wander off and delaying you until they get back, or mixing up some supplies and taking more time to pack up, or using more supplies/having them spoil.

If critical fails make you more tired than you were before camping, it makes no sense for people who aren't grizzled outdoorsmen to even try camping, since you can end up worse off than you started quite often AND you're a sitting duck for the entire duration.

Probably would of played this mod if I could read the writing.
Eh? The writing is quite readable. What are you talking about? Even if you cannot read  it, you can always go back to the  native one.

Go to the Rigale v0.10 module directory and 1)inside the folder called "Data" erase the file "FONT" and 2)inside the Textures folder erase the file"font.dds".

Yeah, that simple...
