The Red Wars, Calradia 1923

That sounds like a really good idea. I almost always play "good" characters, and that completely rules out looting for me, even though the villages are part of the enemy war machine. I like the prospect of basically saying, "Okay, peasants. I'm going to burn the village down to deny its vital resources to my enemy's army. I have nothing against you personally, and will escort you to the nearest town, where you should be safe.

I'd be okay with the Confederate idea as long as you don't make them racist hicks or anything. I mean, sure, the lords with the "mean/bad" personalities could be racist puppy-kicking jerks, but make the "good" personality lords cool dudes.

This is a quite strange request XD Allies were not at all good guys or saints.. Just think that Tommies had under their control half of the world at time of World War 2. They exploited colonies and their population judging them not equal to other citizens. They are the first racist, but they aren't "evil" as Nazis. USA stretched his hands all over South America.

After this i've to suggest another thing.
I see factions seems to be equal to their counterpart in medieval times.I think many things changed and if we set this story in the industrial production we can say there are also larger numbers on battlefields:

-Communists armies should be larger cause they are "people's" armies, maybe with inferior equipment.
-Nazi armies have already better equipment and their size is already good.
-Nord's armies have elite soldiers and should be  smaller
-Recruit soldiers should be easier. When you go into a town and you are a Commissar in the Era of Mass Production you should be able to conscript 20/30 soldiers. War is faster , soldiers die in a second, but conscripts are many.

Your ideas are good legionary, the only thing ill be able to add immediately though is the more recruits thing. But I'll take a note of your other ideas for later

First of all, good to see more Finnish modders.

Second of all, I like the idea, however, I would have recommended to setting the mod into an era where automatic weapons were even more rare than they were in the trailer I saw. The WB AI works much better with bolt-action rifles, and it looks just a bit less ridiculous than having a mass of infantry with automatic weapons charging across a field.

Of course, I would also recommend considering replacing almost all random battlefields with custom ones, designed for gunplay.

Anyway, good luck mate, I'll be following this one whenever I have leave from the army.

Oh yeah, and the ridiculous ease with which you can die from a stray bullet creates a small problem. Warband doesn't really work for purely commander-style gameplay, but on the other hand unless you hide you most likely will get shot and end up having to autocalc the battle.

So, some sort of death camera/continue would be nice.

Yeah, I will send some pm's, I am simply not at the level to code something like that. If they say no I will for sure implement a death cam or something.

A small request: can you please add some kind of troops, perhaps mercenaries, using the Coat (or just coats in general) and Wide-Brimmed Hat combo as uniform? I need to standardize the baseline dapperness level of my troops

Very well, I shall call them dapper mercenaries!

Dappercenaries?

Oh yeah, an idea I got yesterday - make Manhunters generic, non faction-aligned policemen, instead of bounty hunters. Maybe mounties, if you prefer.

How it will be in 1923 I suggest to only a few soldiers of United Vaegir Federation to use the "Assault Rifle" (*cough* AK-47 *coughh*)

And Swadian Infantry shouldn't use MG, it should go to another troop, Swadian Infantry should use a War rifle or a submachine gun (not so many!)

^ this. After playing 20 mintues of the beta, I have to agree with all of those points. Mass-charges with bayoneted bolt-action rifles would be really damn cool. The custom scenes would be nice, but if there aren't enough, they will get repetitive very quickly, like Brytenwalda. Same damn 2 ambush scenes over and over again...

Police men are employed by a government, so that wouldn't make sense, maybe vigilantes?

Yeah, but you're not likely to see policemen fighting other nation's policemen, so it would even out.

I agree that combat should be heavier on bolt-action weaponry, especially with how utterly brutal it is even right now that you basically cannot take a shot, period, or you're down for the count.

Oh, and regarding factions: we have fascists, communists, socialists depending on what Rhodoks are supposed to be, and theocrats. Since the consensus is that Balion should get in, I suggest to make them super-capitalist (as in President Andrew Ryan super-capitalist) and make Nords into hardcore Monarchists (since they're already the only faction ruled by a king) to cover all the major ideologies.

 random uniform ideas...
