Permadeath

Hey, i just recently started playing this mod again after some years (there's still no other mod that's like Solid + Shade).

I did some searches but I can't find an answer to my question.

I always play with "realistic" save settings - so it saves after I do anything.

I've made 2 characters, who've both "died" but all it does is restart me from my last save, which wasnt very long ago.

It makes permadeath feel underpowered.

I just wondered if permadeath was supposed to work like this?

The only solution I can think of is to delete a save file when a character dies.

I really dont wanna delete my second char >< I got so far!

Unfortunately there seems to be no way to make the game automatically delete save files on permadeath - you could have multiple saves anyway, and it wouldn't know which one was the right one to delete, since each save file is just a "snapshot" of that game session.

Soooo, if you want to play hardcore, you'll just have to commit to deleting any related save files yourself. Be strong!
