Hello vikingr community ! Today I want to share a poem I wrote, and that Hróðgár Fyrninga corrected and hugely improved ! Thanks to him

Blood spurts out from the wound
I fell on my right knee
To the Norns my fate is bound
I don't fear this death I know foresee

The sound of clashing swords resounds in my head
When steel meets hardened steel
I know that I'll soon be dead
But not will I ever kneel

I savagely counterattack
My sword is red with their blood
I suddenly see a Saxon's back
His bones get crushed in a thud

I fearlessly charge ahead
Covered in blood I snarl
Leave the body lying dead
I lost sight of banner and Jarl

My sword pierces through the rumen
And spill guts, they all die the same
In the sky over me 's flying a raven
And I shout Odin's name

Sword in my hand, my wrath is a bane
Killing men without mercy
I feel the warmth of blood on my knee
As I hurl attacks my wrath is no longer restrained

I feel nothing but pain in my knee
I feel death that I have foreseen
What a wonderful life it has been

I recall the smell of rain and my children's and thee
My beloved wife, I can no longer stay
I am passing away.

GRAAAH!! This poem is nice, the way you form the words together, the melody, is very rough, and it suits well with the "story" of it!
