Firearm sounds not working

I just did a fresh install of warband 1.58 (from TW) and I installed FI2 yet have no sounds for firearms. I checked out a few files and they are listed, present and work when I run them through VLC just nothing ingame.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Firearm sounds do not work in local host aka Host a Game you need to join a server to hear them.
