RT has a news report:

Remember that Venezuela is a semi-totalitarian State, where government control, especially of the media, is pretty total, but that there is a strong revolutionary undercurrent, that even Hugo Chavez had to tip-toe around.

Rise of petrol prices might have sparked these, though obviously it's not the only reason:

Corruption is the way of the land, and inflation rate is pretty horrid.

Manduros, the current president, is trying to prevent further protests by banning. Yeah, that'll work:

It is telling that Manduros still utilizes Cold War era communist rhetoric, and is blaming the opposition leaders for inciting the riots.  Yeah, as if people don't see what's happening around them. Talking about being out of touch.

I wonder what will it be of Venezuela after this government is over.

There'll be golden rings, dragons and kings. Weaving a spell in the dark! Blessed by the knight, holy and bright. Called by the toller of the bell.

revolt against the socialist rule of Dictator Barack Hussein Obama!!!11111

I'd like to see a bit of revolting in Finland. I'm not taking a political stance, I'd just like to see a bit of hell raised on the streets over whatever.... say, increased alcohol taxes for example.
