How Multimedia became a reality

The first multimedia computer came out in 1985. It was called the Amiga 1000. It's weird why no one ever mentions it anywhere as if it's some kind of curse.

Because of that computer alone we can today enjoy playing beautiful games, have digital tvs and watch movies and listen to real music on our computers and have digital cameras that can take digital photos. Because of that computer, today we can write a text document while listening to music on our computers at the same time.

Is anyone here old enough to remember Amiga and how it was like using that computer?
