Connecting both hdmi and composite to one monitor?

Users who are viewing this thread

My monitor has both hdmi and composite inputs. Would it work if I connect both hdmi and composite cables to the monitor going out from the same graphics card? OR would I fry something by doing so?

What I want to achieve is to have low latency composite display on the same monitor in order have less display lag while playing Rocksmith 2014.

It doesn't do anything. The monitor is going to get input from one source.

I can choose which input to use on my monitor. (TV, HDMI, EXT, PC, HDMI2, AV and Component). Currently my computer is connected to HDMI input. (and also TV so I can simply choose TV as source and it displays TV). I guess I will need to choose component as input if I use another cable to connect my graphics card to the monitor.

Yes. It doesn't matter how many input cables you have going into your monitor, it can only accept data from one at a time. So even if you plug your PC into it through both HDMI and composite, you can only view one of them. Try it and switch between them, see which one works/looks better and report back to us!
