Tweak % chance of capturing enemy lords
I didn't have problems with the current % of capturing Lords, but if I remember correctly, a lot of people on E1200 board expressed their wishes to tweak that chance.
And if the majority wants that, I honestly have no problems with it.

Add to Character info screen your relation as a Number
Sure, why not.

Adjust the Honor Lost for refusal to ransom lords
I feel strongly about this one because when I'm at War with someone and they RAID and Kill my villagers...I don't feel it's dishonorable to make them rot in my dungeon for their crimes.
It's a tough choice.
Your explanation is highly debatable.
Or better said, your opinion on morale, or what is honorable, and what's not. :neutral:

I personally only use this by Running back to my troops and then I hit the "I" key...I don't use it when I'm on the ladder or after I've entered the castle.

Tweak:
The lack of baggage during a siege is annoying. Short of going into every single scene and making a 20mb download just to add baggage to them all, the easiest way of modding in inventory access to sieges is to just make it work by pressing the inventory key. So this is what I did. I'll leave it to you to regulate how you use it - run back to your troops and pretend you're opening baggage before you re-arm during combat if you like, it's just nice to be able to do it at all.
I like it.
But only if you come back to your war camp, and not when you're inside the besieging fort.

Change the minimum amount of damage for PLAYER and his Heros to Continue Fighting and Contribute to Party Skills

Oh, yes - more blood is needed.
That and decapitation + dismemberment of limbs.

About the others, please test them and we'll see.
Also, Korinov, I think we should really include some of these.
In order for a mod to be good, I think it needs to have a nice combination of big epic things and those little sweet tweaks that make the game better.

I was a little discouraged to post my findings since I guessed (incorrectly) that you weren't gonna be cool with these...I just had that impression is all.    I didn't know if I was just gonna delete the whole topic so I tried to make it very streamlined by using lots of spoilers.

Anyway, i'm glad you like some of them!!  I really like the newest one I just added today  12-20-2013...it's awesome and in my opinion really lets you control more aspects of your game yet doesn't feel as if your using a cheat.

Current version of E 1200 .22 is set to (70)....I tested on 0% chance of escaping but lately i'm using 30.  I like that better.

I've very much wished for something like this myself (as long as it's not overpowered, of course), so if it works right - awesome!

I don't see what's debatable at all. I also think, especially in regards to the medieval context of the game and mod, that keeping your enemies in your dungeons is not dishonourable. Though, of course, if we're to be more realistic, one could say that some conditions should be put for a dishonourable effect to appear, f.e. if you're no longer at war with his faction, if you have high personal relations with the said lord (keeping your friends in your dungeons is somewhat... psychotic) etc. Otherwise, especially if you've caught your prisoner while he was raiding your fiefs - man, he should be glad we don't have execution options in the mod. :razz:

Does it mean that if you put enough troops in your village it successfully defends from raids? That would be awesome.

I might be wrong but i think that once a peace is signed all prisoners from those two factions are released.

A tweak that I would love would be one that allows your to change regular troops' equipment just like you do with companions. And also having the ability to gather all the companions in the starting town. The reason is that once you visit different areas on the map, those areas start to get calculated too thus consuming PC resources and resulting in worse lag.
 
Gonna have a good look at this. I'm sure several of the things in the first post can be done in the module_system as well, so they could be fully implemented without messing with the game files.

Disagree with both. We have a lot of different troop trees in the mod from where you can choose any kind of unit you like. Regarding the companions... a bit lazy, aren't we?  :wink:

Well I did write UNLIMITED garrison capacity so Yeah...if you put enough in there it would be unbeatable.  As i said in the tweak description...I wouldn't personally do that.  I would prefer to role play and perhaps judge how well a village is doing and manually set the numbers of guys I could put in there. 

For example,  I set a base limit on myself of 20 extra men that would be eating the villagers food and perhaps sleeping in a barn or in tents.  But the assumption is that the village cannot support TOO many extra mouths to feed.  Surely not 200 extra Hvy Knights with horses!!!

- Only if the status said that my village was "Flourishing" or doing "VERY WELL" in prosperity might I double that number.    :razz:


 
1st Merry Christmas everybody!!

I just posted another NEW tweak above and also I got a pretty cool one to work (one i've always wanted)

W.I.P. =  To be able to Garrison Heros / companions, I.E. place them in Towns & Castles.  It works for the most part...great even but I did encounter one small bug.  Well small to me. :smile:

DETAILS:   After I put my test hero (William Tell) into my Garrison.  He's on the roster and I can freely remove him and replace him back again no worries.  If I go to the Hall, of course he is also there...

However if I try to speak with him...I get the 2 options "Welcome back, my Friend & Sorry, I can't take on anyone..."

If I say "sorry..."  then it's no problem.  If I choose Welcome back, then that's where the bug happens.  Esentially, it will create a bug where you get a duplicate hero.  One in your garrison and one in your party.  That might be desirable if you're looking to cheat.  :roll:

If you go into mangage garrison and manually remove your hero...then your party will again only have one instance of that hero and all is back to normal. 

So basically if you use this Tweak to garrison your heros...just don't talk to them when in the hall and it works fine.

My question to all you smart people out there:  Does anyone want to help me look at this and make it work?  I'll gladly message over or email someone my findings so far.

Well, that is fun, but also very unfortunate...
But since it is easily avoidable, I don't think it's too bad.

That particular tweak and its bug, or your tweaks in general?
 
Help?  Yes I would love help, for this particular tweak/bug and also any other tweaks.  I think allot of us have questions on options or tweaks we wish would could implement.

I'm not a coder at all and I don't have the Module system to play with.  So anybody that understands this stuff is very welcome.


Although I'm happy that a few of you guys at least have responded...Perhaps it's because it's the Xmas season but i'm kinda disappointed that I haven't had much more feedback. 

  E1200 is the only game I play right now and I've been playing fairly consistently since 1st release of vanilla M&B.

I have never been part of a Mod team or development project...but dang it I've committed myself to this and understand that my motives are purely to help to make this MOD the best it can be.

OK so i'm not smart with code and in my preface I did say I don't want to take credit...but when i spend hours and hours going through CODE and I find stuff that works through trial and error, i'll at least give myself a pat on the back.      I mean, am I the only one that thinks that some of these tweaks are cool?  (not excluding the few of you who have posted...Thank you)

Sniff sniff... I like E1200 dang it  :grin:  Somebody tell me i'm helping or or not gonna post any more of these :oops: :oops: :oops:

Just kidding. 
 
Well, I'm not familiar with coding, so there's little I can do to help with the tweaks. As for your last question - I think they're quite helpful, especially several of them. So thanks a lot for your work, mate, at least from me (and, I'm sure, from everyone else playing the mod)! :smile:

Oh, yes, that one's an absolute must! I remember using it in the old M&B and it was one of the most useful tweaks for me. Korinov, can you add that one as well? I hate it when the guildmaster offers me to escort some cattle or caravan to the other end of the world and I have to wait the full time till he gives me another option (at the least, I could want to escort a caravan, but only to closer locations).
Btw, Subitai, that tweak worked for the village elders as well, right? Their quests are somewhat less annoying, but it would be good if it works for them as well.

Hi NikeBG... UH good and bad.  GOOD is I'm glad you like that tweak and it does work well for Town Guildmasters.  (I will update the title to reflect that)    I'm with you though...this one is a big time saver and it is a must IMO. 

The Bad, it's not designed for the village elders. 

The good again...I found the MageLord Tweak to get the Village Elders done and i'm in the process of testing it.  So Far i'm not too crazy about it however.    Meaning it works but only "IF" the village had the NEED for a quest to be done.    At least for me...His tweak doesn't force the village elder to give you a new quest.    Many villages just didn't seem to NEED a quest or have a problem.

What it does for me is:   If I do get a quest and refuse it...it doesn't make me wait a whole another 36 hours before you can get another one.  But if I "Poke" the elder some more, it will give me another one eventually. 

I don't know, it works sort of...  Should I post it?
