Is Bitdefender any good as an anti-virus?

Also completely unnecessary. As said, Microsoft Security Essentials is good enough unless you spend all of your time trawling Russian hacking websites. Combine with Malwarebytes scan once a week or so, you're secure enough. Don't pay for **** you don't have to.

Not to mention the fact that you could probably migrate whatever your old antivirus was over to your new computer.
