So whenever someone asks me about my computer specs I forget what they are and have no idea exactly how good they are. And then they say I'm an idiot and I'm stupid and blah blah blah. So I was wondering how to read computer specs (to know if they're good or not).

Open your start menu, search for 'dxdiag'.

That will show you just about everything plus you can save it as a txt file. If you didn't build the computer yourself you probably won't understand most of it but if you are just trying to diagnose something on another forum this helps.

Pretty much what Kevlar said. You'll just have to google the components to get familiar with them. If you look into it you'll get the hang of it in time. Most things are divided in series, and the higher the number of the component, the newer it is.
