INTRODUCTION
Hello Warbanders and welcome to the European Championship Series or the ECS. The ECS will be a 7 Week tournament. It will start with a group stage and then move into a single elimination bracket. 16 teams will participate. In order to ensure that every match will be as exciting as possible 12 of the 16 teams will be invited. In order to allow more teams to participate, we will be having 4 spots open. Teams will be able to take these spots, though if there is more than 4 then we will have to use qualifiers.
So, to the tournament itself. The ECS will start with a group stage. There will be four groups, each containing four teams. The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage. The knockout stage will consist of a single elimination bracket starting from the quarter finals.
So prepare yourself for over 7 weeks of brutal Warband action between the best Europe has to offer, it's going to be a good one!
APPLICATIONS
This is the opportunity for teams that weren't invited (apologies, there were many great teams we did not have the space to invite) to get in on the action. There are 4 spaces available and the format of the qualifiers depends on the amount of applications we receive. For example if there was only 4 applicants then the 4 teams would automatically be put into the groups.
