==EUROPE==
Wilhelm gets **** on
Kaiser Wilhelm II was surprised today with a gift from the British. A British diplomat from the British embassy in Berlin brought behind him three tall dump trucks, which he said contained a gift for the Kaiser. The Kaiser assumed it could've been several tons of gold, which would be nice. The trucks were far too large for anyone to see what they were carrying in the back. The diplomat passed Wilhelm a clipboard and asked him, in German, to sign his name so he could take the delivery. Wilhelm happily obliged. As the clipboard got passed back to the diplomat, the diplomat smiled ominously and stepped out of the way. The trucks tilted their tails back, and the Kaiser and all of his retinue and guards watched as the royal courtyard of the Reichstag was suddenly covered in various assorted feces. The trucks drove continuously as they dumped manure all over the lavish streets of Berlin, the viscous substance coming out in loads at a time. After the dump trucks had finally expelled their load, they drove away with the diplomat in tow. The Brits looked very amused.
The Kaiser however, was not amused. Palace guards being too prestigious for the duty of cleaning **** from the streets, he called a squad of Confederation troops and gave them the order, who began, with disgust, cleaning off the streets with their trench spades.
Meanwhile, on the frontlines against Polish/White troops, the situation was getting increasingly desperate for the Poles. As the Soviets invaded in the back and the Germans were making a strong push into liberating German territory, the Poles resorted to a tactic they thought could work to reduce the German's morale. They constructed makeshift, yet sturdy, catapults and onagers resembling those of the Romans and flung **** at the incoming Germans. The **** filled the trenches and initiated some German troops to don Gas masks, some even thinking it was a real gas attack. While the tactic did not save the Polish war effort, it did add insult to injury for the Kaiser.
Portuguese Civil War! Spain Intervenes!
The Kingdom of Spain had long dealt with the civil war in its Iberian neighbor with a neutral approach, accepting refugees if possible. This year however Spain announced to the world that it was going to intervene on behalf of the Portuguese Republican Army. Although a monarchy itself, Spain recognizes the Republic as the legitimate government of Portugal. Tens of thousands of Spanish troops crossed the border into Portugal and participated in the Siege of Lisbon, in which Spanish forces played a major role by crossing the Tagus river and cutting off retreat. The Republican Army disallowed Spanish expeditionary forces from liberating Portuguese territory, saying that "Spaniards cannot liberate Portuguese, only Portuguese can".
Along with soldiers, however, Spain dedicated naval might in support of the Republicans. This showed especially with the newly completed Spanish dreadnaught, the ARE 'España', which teamed up with the Portuguese flagship, the NRP 'Vasco da Gama' and a convoy of escort warships in a mission to bombard the Monarchist headquarters in Porto.
The Second Great War!
The naval war in Europe has escalated. British ships operated as during the last year for a while. German submarines left under the cover of night and dealt deadly blows to long-term future plans by the British. Eventually, the British fleet had completely run dry all emergency fuel reserves the United Kingdom had at hand, and the British fleet was, as such, forced to depart for the safety of British ports, where they underwent an intensive rearmament and refitting program.
German submarines free to roam the North Sea mostly unmolested, they play a crucial role in this year's war events.
Polish Defeat!
In May, the frontlines in Poland had completely collapsed. White Russian soldiers staged a mutiny supported by furious Poles, and ousted Aleksander Kolchak. The White Russians were demoralized, poorly supplied and armed, and many of them either surrendered to German forces or integrated themselves into Polish life. Some even ran away to the former Russian Empire seeking forgiveness and safety with their families.

Aleksander Kolchak fled to Bohemia, which was at first friendly to him, but would not offer him exile. Eventually, the ad from the Incan Empire caught his eye, and Kolchak made his way to Santiago, Chile, where he has established his new HQ and government-in-exile. With 500 zloties and 40 men and women (his former staff) under his command, he still has quite a lot of ambition.
Scandinavian Incursion!
The newly formed Scandinavian Union declared war on Germany shortly after the collapse of Poland. It attempted an amphibious assault aimed apparently at Holstein. Without British naval support, however, the convoy became easy prey for German submarines, who harassed it along the entire way. Upon arriving the Scandinavian forces saw that a vastly superior German force was waiting for them. Deciding to cut their losses, the fleet returned home to former Sweden, losing a convoy carrying armored vehicles along the way.
French Incursion!
A border incident at the Franco-German border frustrated France. German secret service agents had been trying to sabotage the Western Wall - France's fortifications on the border with Germany. German explosives had detonated and destroyed an outpost component of the wall. All but two of the German agents involved were captured and promptly executed. After a stern message to the Germans, who seemed clueless as to what the French were talking about, the very next day France declared war on Germany with the support of Italy. French, Italian, and British forces crossed the border and drove powerful offensives into Germany. Of particular note is the British push to the Ruhr area, where most of Germany's coal deposits and stockpiles are.
Italian Economic Crash!
Italian coal stockpiles have long been diminishing - eventually, this year, coal finally ran out in Italy. Industries scrambled to purchase coal from external sources in a panicked frenzy. Meanwhile the majority of Italian factories have gone bankrupt and hundreds of thousands of Italian workers are out of a job. In response, King Victor Emmanuelle gave a speech reassuring his people and announcing a set of political reforms intended to compensate the now unemployed workers. A coal ration was declared in Italy and only the most essential facilities are still functioning. A temporary crash, Italians are confident that the coal issue could recover within a year. However restaffing or reconstructing factories will be very expensive and time consuming ordeal.
Scandinavian Union!
With war over Holstein and the Finnish finally accepting full partnership with former Sweden, King Gustaf has declared the Scandinavian Union, formally known as the Union of Scandinavian Kingdoms. Scandinavians rejoice in having a true interconnected identity with one another, and celebrate in their status as a major economic force in the world.
Formation of Romania!
The Kingdoms of Wallachia and Moldavia have agreed to merge and form the country of Romania, with its capital at Bucharest in the former Kingdom of Wallachia.
Galicia refuses ordnances!
Portuguese refugees add up in Spain, and in Galicia especially so. Galician farmers can no longer support the additional weight and the governor of Galicia has refused all orders from Madrid. Spanish troops loyal to Galicia have expulsed Portuguese refugees back into Portugal and have announced that no more Portuguese may cross the border.
Galicia makes it clear that it does not desire independence from Spain, but for its own sake as a Kingdom within Spain, it has been forced to temporarily sever its links with Madrid. Other major refugee areas such as Badajoz and Huelva report that they agree with Galicia's sentiment, but have continued to harbor the refugees pending Madrid's final decision on the matter.
Uprising in Vienna
Residents of Vienna have expressed their adamant opposition to the pro-equality policies of the ruling party. Equal rights of all Austro-Hungarian residents and the expansion of citizenship has mobilized counter-referendum mobs that have piqued in Vienna. While nearby hamlets and other cities in Austria proper have suffered the discontent of the masses, only Vienna seems to have sustained sizable damages stemming from rioting. King Charles and his retinue fled the city, leading to more cases of civil disobedience. It is uncertain as to what is happening as this event develops, but Austro-Hungarian military detachments have surrounded Vienna and have established defensive positions around Budapest - the suspected location of the ruling Habsburgs, nominally King Charles. In a statement by sympathetic gentry of the Vienna uprising, it was declared that a diplomatic action be taken and have the revolting populace heard, and considered. Rumours of a Slovak assassination plot has been circulating - and had its participants hung for treason. Croats, Serbs, Romanians, and Italians have made unconfirmed attacks on various local officials. The entirety of the Dual Monarchy is showing nationalist and independence sentiments regarding the weakness of the government. The military hierarchy has of yet responded in force and remains on guard against predatory foreign invaders. A peaceful resolution or compromise seems viable but is foreseen to be insufficient if coming from King Charles and his record of poor proposals.
EuroAir Expands!
EuroAir, founded in Bohemia, continues to expand, offering flights to increasingly distant and more varied places. Most notable of which, Stockholm, Moscow, Tel-Aviv, Madrid, and London.
Irish Rebellion
Due to discontent with the war in Europe and broken promises relating to independence and resolving of religious issues within Ireland, Irish rebels have decided to rebel against their British protestant overlords.
Zuiderzee Project
The Netherlands appear to be reclaiming a lot of land from the Zuiderzee, beginning with experimental procedures on a smaller scale in a small bay in the north of the country.
Famine continues in Ukraine
People are still starving to death in Ukraine. The deathtoll for 1920 and 1921 figures estimates at least 350,000 total deaths.

Qing Empire Collapses!
For a while the Qing Empire has been nothing more than an unclaimed nominal puppet state to European interests and markets. As European attention turns to the Great European War, as the Americans are caught in civil despair, the Qing have finally collapsed after groups of warlords declared their independence from the Emperor, who was later killed during a successful coup, establishing a military-run "Republic" of China with indirect control of the warlord government's affairs.
War in Vietnam!
Determined to rid Asia of western influences, Guangxi Clique after separating and becoming its own state from the Qing Empire and (now) the Republic of China, has invaded Mexican Indochina. Mexican forces have done this three times before, although Guangxi forces have encroached within a dozen miles of Hanoi.
War in the Philippines!
The Guangxi Clique have invaded the Spanish Philippines, again determined to destroy Western influence in Asia. Guangxi landing boats have circumvented the Armada de las Filipinas and landed on the northern tip of Luzon island without resistance. Spanish forces teamed with Filipino guerillas could do little more than harass the Chinese forces as they drive ever closer to Manila, the capital of Spanish influence in the Far East.
Discontent in Central Asia!
The internal strife of the Soviet Union in combination with the famines and the promises of State Atheism brought on by communist ideals have lead to mass discontent and secession from the USSR in Central Asia.
Japanese reconsider
Korean has been reinstated as the instructional language of Korea after the Koreans got so mad about it.
==N. AMERICA==
Women's Suffrage in the United States and the Auxiliary Corps
The United States of America has granted Women parity with men in politics. They are now able to vote with the same power as a man. A victory for suffragettes, not only in America but indeed the world, the United States Army has also created an Auxiliary Corps for women to participate in the armed forces of the United States, to serve in supportive roles as medics, nurses, logistics drivers and engineers - and already women are undergoing basic infantry training, as is a necessity.
Civil War Declared!
States secede from the Union! Shots fired at Houston, Texas! 1922 election ticket of Buchanan-Blankenship declared a final provocation against Capitalist secessionists. Adam Buchanan's election promise of a classless united states has been declared a treasonous virtue by the newly created Democratic Republic of the United States (DRUS). Initial peace talks perpetrated by the now United Socialist States of America (USSA) have rapidly broken down and appeasement policies among minor constituents has been refuted. Representative Charles Butwain of the DRUS has been quoted as saying "These implementations of tyrannical communism and abandonment among the moral fiber of men's rights is a mockery and a stain on the history of the United States as a just and noble society." The country is now divided as many citizens rally to the DRUS, very much due to the local economic collapses caused by the emigration of prominent investors and capital holders such as Henry Ford and Andrew Mellon. Rhetoric on how viable communism is as a government and not just as a theory has become a polarizing and sometimes violent topic. Secessionists have overrun and confiscated armaments of the unfinished Alamo Wall after a militia initiated engagement of USSA garrisons in both Houston and Dallas. The military of the now-shattered USA has generally been evenly divided, though the USSA commissariat have enforced the loyalties of many uncertain regiments and commanders. All out war seems inevitably certain has DRUS and USSA militaries converge on the state of Florida. Mass hysteria among pro-communist has emerged after suspicion of Mexican, German, and White Polish infilitration and warmongering. What is now known as 'The Red Scare' is now being experienced by the DRUS as is 'The Imperialist Scare' by the USSA.

As continous construction moves towards closer completion of the yet-uncoined canals of Mexico, unintended developments have occurred. The free market capitalism of this country of the New World has been credited with the creation of a booming tourist industry that caters the captivation of wealthy foreigners with compulsion to not just capture, but kill, mighty predatory cats of the jungle. Jungle that is currently collapsing under the clear-cutting toward canal construction. Primarily British, French, and Mexican patrons travel to the new development site, usually in parties that are accompanied by native guides. While the savannahs of Africa have been commonly considered the pinnacle of exotic big-game hunting, it is uncertain if the Mexican administration will cash in. This uncertainty is caused because the government has decided to engage in a protection policy for local wildlife. Two groups have polarized on this opinionated general issue: The Conservatists beckon for continued jurisdiction of pre-decided policy. The Capitalists argue for the expansion of taxes on tourism and the availability of land speculation around the federally-owned canal. There has been no official policy yet, but it is expected the government will give a stance within the coming months regarding the issues around the great canal.

Infrastructure in the Northern Frontiers of the Mexican Empire has never been spectacular. With the notable exception of a few major cities, all that's really out there is some mining towns and railroad stops. Emperor Maximiliano aimed to change all that, and has commissioned yet another major infrastructural project, aiming to build a dam along the Colorado River, near the tiny oasis town of Las Vegas. Expeditionary scouts and engineers were followed by architects from Mexico City who have begun establishing work camps to start major construction.
Canadian Universities Estimate Worth of Non-white males
Spurred on by the curious victory in the 1920 Belgium Olympics by the Ethiopian team, Universities in Canada have ventured into the realm of biology and evolution in order to figure out just how much an African, a woman, or a native american compare to a white man. Their studies have been rather inconclusive and scientists have found explanations they deem acceptable, but are simply traditional misconceptions that have been existent since the Colombian Exchange.
Cuba declares independence!
Disgruntled with Spanish negotiations and policies pertaining to colonies, the Cubans have taken their frustrations into violence. Winning the support of the populace, the Spanish garrison and government in Cuba was pushed off the island and fled to Puerto Rico, Spain's other colony in the area.

Incan Empire announces open borders
The Incan Empire has released a public appeal to European intellectuals and other individuals, appealing to their sense of logic. This logic of escaping European war such that one may "research without bombs falling all around you" was soon met with claims of hypocrisy by the very target audience. Incan Empire has waged a war and, is in many other ways, just the same as its European fathers.
The open borders policy has regardless created some migration to the Incan Empire, although not necessarily of the audience intended. It appears that Aleksander Kolchak, former White Russian General and dictator of Poland, has made his new government-in-exile headquarters in Santiago, the capital of former Chile.
Argentine/Chilean Patriotic Leagues
As Argentina and Chile see migrations and annexations of foreigners, some particularly nationalist groups have taken to terrorist actions out of intense xenophobia and ardent hatred of anarchism, communism, and as if it can't get worse, Jews. In Argentina, rural workers numbering 1500 lead by an anarchist leader rose up against Argentine rule in the region. While the Argentine Army deliberated the government's negotiations with the group, the Argentine Patriotic League took matters into their own hands, brutally slaughtering the rural workers. The anarchist leader managed to escape to the Incan Empire in the aftermath. A Jewish neighborhood in Buenos Aires was also bombed, killing 4 and wounding another 19.
In the Incan Empire, meanwhile, the newly conquered territories of Peru and Ecuador have seen drive by shootings and bombings of neighborhoods populated by immigrants and foreigners, perceived as communists and anarchists. Bolivians attacked by the league fled to Bolivia where they were welcomed and protected, but Peruvians and Ecuadorians have nowhere to turn to but the government of the Incan Empire for help - who thus far has been rather irresponsive.
Economic reform in Brazil
Brazil has undergone economic reforms, which workers have denounced. Mechanized agriculture and these economic reforms have created a peculiar situation in Brazil, and while the industrial base of Brazil's economy has grown, workers are disgruntled and farmers are emigrating to the Incan Empire by the hundreds.
Fort Copacabana Revolt
After press releases of Brazilian politicians were shown denouncing the army, the military began to plan yet another coup attempt. Hearing about it ahead of time, Brazil's government was able to prevent all but one place revolting - Fort Copacabana.
Colombian Smuggling
Colombia has been causing some border issues with Venezuela, Brazil, and the Incan Empire, as drug smugglers and arms dealers make a fortune off trading in impoverished and violent border areas of these countries. Authorities from all countries have attempted to combat the smuggling, but have seen little success.
==AFRICA==
Anglo-Ethiopian War!
Ethiopian and British land forces finally met after months of pure naval engagements. The engagements for the year have ended in a stalemate as both sides have launched offensives through the jungles, deserts, and plains of central and southern Africa. The Ethiopians, as they have in the last war, demonstrated their proficiency with jungle warfare and offensive combat in Africa's harsh terrain. After a year of fighting it appears that nothing really conclusive is going on in the war in Africa.
Rifians carry on fight in Spanish Morocco!
The Treaty of Fez in 1912 gave most of Morocco to France, but Spanish troops occupied the Rif region from their base in Melilla. This year the Rifians have declared independence from Spain and have waged a successful guerilla war against Spanish forces in Melilla and Tangiers. Spanish forces were pushed back to the coast, but the Rifians had lost momentum. After reorganizing, Spanish troops made use of training and discipline techniques given by French military instructors sent to Spain in 1919, and managed to capture the major Spanish cities in the region, the aforementioned Tangiers and Melilla.
The current date is now January 1st, 1922.

After press releases of Brazilian politicians were shown denouncing the army, the military began to plan yet another coup attempt. Hearing about it ahead of time, Brazil's government was able to prevent all but one place revolting - Fort Copacabana.
Colombian Smuggling
Colombia has been causing some border issues with Venezuela, Brazil, and the Incan Empire, as drug smugglers and arms dealers make a fortune off trading in impoverished and violent border areas of these countries. Authorities from all countries have attempted to combat the smuggling, but have seen little success.

Anglo-Ethiopian War!
Ethiopian and British land forces finally met after months of pure naval engagements. The engagements for the year have ended in a stalemate as both sides have launched offensives through the jungles, deserts, and plains of central and southern Africa. The Ethiopians, as they have in the last war, demonstrated their proficiency with jungle warfare and offensive combat in Africa's harsh terrain. After a year of fighting it appears that nothing really conclusive is going on in the war in Africa.
Rifians carry on fight in Spanish Morocco!
The Treaty of Fez in 1912 gave most of Morocco to France, but Spanish troops occupied the Rif region from their base in Melilla. This year the Rifians have declared independence from Spain and have waged a successful guerilla war against Spanish forces in Melilla and Tangiers. Spanish forces were pushed back to the coast, but the Rifians had lost momentum. After reorganizing, Spanish troops made use of training and discipline techniques given by French military instructors sent to Spain in 1919, and managed to capture the major Spanish cities in the region, the aforementioned Tangiers and Melilla.
The current date is now January 1st, 1922.

The Incan Empire would like to re-affirm that we only attacked Ecuador as they had harassed, and attacked Peru before the joint coalition. We are working to improve conditions as funds become available. Also, we wholly support the DRUS in their endeavor against the Communists.
