FrisianDude's laptop is borked.

As title says. His keyboard doesn't work properly anymore. Oddly enough, a few keys do work, but the vast majority don't. "H, y, t, /" those work, the rest doesn't.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It's a HP pavillion g-series with windows 7.

No **** sherlock. Problem is, he can't just replace it because it's part of the laptop.

Only you can and they cost about $10 for a replacement.

actually only qweruiop didn't work. using screeenkeyboard now.

You can indeed buy a new keyboard. Maybe yours is full of water or something?

Ya, I probably have never replaced keyboards for laptops, wtf am I thinking.

I will, and I ordered a separate keyboard too.

Not that hard, unscrew some screws, pull out old laptop (probably connected with a little cord) then plug in the old one.

Takes 5 minutes.

I've taken apart my share of laptops as well. Keyboard's one of the easiest bits to replace in most cases.
