Old Cald Empire?
I assume you mean Calrad? The Calrad Empire was the superpower that ruled Calradia "and other Calradic regions" until it fell because of a lack of an Imperial heir. Warband never really showed us what the empire was like as far as soldiers, ranks, equipment, etc.

Tell us more of the Calrad empire resurrection? How will that work and what twill their theme be? I assume a roman theme, but there are other things that could work.
Smart questions. Let me explain. The world map will have some ancient places. These places contain Calrad ruines like an aqueduct, palaces, forts, great monuments. These structures can be restored all time if you have the money/materials. The capital of this Empire was Praven, this place is now a ruine nearby the new Praven. This place also offers many options.

Resurrecting the Empire is possible if you are the lord of Praven. You will have access to stuff of the Empire like: banner, equipment, weapons, buildings, faction name, imperial regalia and many more things.

If you have interesting features in mind, tell me!

That looks really good, nice job
Thank you!

As far as features, I think resurrecting the empire should do a few things:
1st, it should give an option for the original Calradian factions (Swadian, Rhodok, Vaegir) where if your renown and relation with them is high enough, you can convince their king to become your vassal/protectorate. This way you could effectively rule the empire with diplomatic means; Sit up in your castle in Praven, high and mighty, ordering the other imperial dominions around. For example, you could order the Vaegirs to call a campaign against a specific castle or the Rhodoks to declare war on the Khergits, you could even call a "grand campaign" in which you lead the armies of all the factions on a rampage through non-Calradian factions (Nords, Khergits, Sarranids) But to do that you'd have to put the three protectorate faction on good terms with each other so they'll actually show up together.
As far as the Calradian Imperial Military there are a few options (and all of them could be presented as a player choice):
1: Order all dominions to adopt Calradian soldiers, with sorts of faction-specific auxiliaries ( Vaegir bowmen, Rhodok spearmen/crossbows, Swadian cavalry)
2:Give protectorate factions Calradian armies to be used in conjunction with their native troops. T How this would work is by spawning "Centurions" or "Legates", lords which work for the faction but use Calradian soldiers.

Also, alternatively from having protectorate nations forming the empire, with enough renown you could completely annex a faction's territory and vassals by defeating the king's army in battle or by taking the capital.

! That's a lot of work. How can I thank you? Wait... I am working on something, something very promising and interesting. I'll release some screenshots later today .

By keeping your motivation and granting us splendid previews and finally a playable release . No seriously, take your time, this work is amazing.

Great ideas except the last one  Would be super easy.
There could be all sorts of balancing factors. For example, maybe it would only work if you had positive or neutral relations with all lords, or if you captured the king after the battle. It could also only work for the three original Calradian Factions.

I didn't see dueling added to the list of features, but I'd love to.
I always found the idea and initial practice of dueling great fun, but it didn't really go anywhere.
What if dueling had a ranking system that would effect the skill/s -  Persuasion/Intimidation, and or Training, and or Weapon Mastery?
ie.
Win 3 duels = 1.Brawler (+1 Persuasion)
Win 5 duels = 2.Swordsman (+1 Weapon Mastery)
Win 10 duels =3.Swashbuckler (+1 Training)
Win 20 duels =4.Scholar of Defense (+1 Persuasion)
Win 40 duels =5.Duelist (+1 Weapon Mastery)
Win 80 duels =6.Master of defense (+2 Training)

That's actually a great idea! If there is some time left this feature will surely make it!

Quint is that Old Calrad Cathedral or Throne room?

I would like to see a special place of duel. A beatiful building of nobles.
Like a "Sal de Armes"  with art on the walls, a table of the finest vintages, weapon racks, fencing dummies, a Piste, and Thibaults Magic Circle on the floor.

Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Hmnm. The game starts in 1423 and the player will see improvements ranging from 1423-1550.
Your imagine a style of duelling which is way too advanced for 1423-1550.
A "Sal de Armes" will definitely make it, but Thibaults Magic Circle. Hmm....

Ah the day and age of Camillo Agrippa. He would have been 40 in 1550. The age of the Transitional Rapier or Cut n Thrust sword.

Thanks =)! Kendoman: I'll definitely include your feature. It's on the list now.

To me those look like pretenders, who untruthfully claim the legacy of old empire as theirs (sort of HRE-style inspired thoughts). The palace premises of old empire would definitely not be in gothic "barbaric" style.
Let me confuse you:

Grand Update: Agonic Order
* This Christian faction is based on the Teutonic Order, Minas Tirith (LOTR) and Hohenzollern
* New troops: Agonic Recruit, Militia, Pikeman, Halbbruder, Dismounted Ritterbruder, Archer, Ismerian Crossbowman, Prusenian Sharpshooter, Diendebruder, Ritterbruder, Knight of Christ
* New Teutonic armor, weapons, helmets, horses, shields and more
* The headquarte; Drachenburg is a unique grand castle with its own architecture
* Complex beacon feature. There are 7 beacons in the mountains which can be lit
* Lit one of these and all beacons are lit, the last one is the Tower of Istmus, which is the beacon of Drachenburg. Lit a medium fire to request 10 troops, lit a big fire to request 50 troops. It costs renown
* These troops help you during the campaign, but are not permanent. They disappear after a week

Explanation
I asked some knight to tell me about them. The Agonic Order is a Christian military self-governing order, only loyal to His Holiness the Pope. Drachenburg is the headquarter of these knights. Their main targets are aiding Christians on their pilgrimages to Holy Places, establishing hospitals and fighting infidels like the Khergits.

In the 13th century, rumors were spread. Rumors about a great realm in the north-east. A realm, barbaric, bloodthirsty and pagan! A Christian lord, named Prusenus I gathered materials to build a fortress at the southern end of the Ismerian Mountains. He named it Drachenburg.
This bulwark was meant as a defense fort against the Khergits. When enemies planned to launch an invasion, beacons in the Mountains were lit. At the end of this line, below the mountains, stands the great Tower of Istmur. This is the beacon of Drachenburg. When this beacon is lit, all people will immediately equip themselves with weapons and armor and prepare the coming fight!

Adinicus is the Grandmaster of this order since 1396. The previous Grandmaster experienced the Grand Siege of Drachenburg in 1327. He didn't want to tell me more, because he was sleepy.
The basterd...

The castle of Drachenburg is based on Hohenzollern, the castle of the dynasty which ruled Prussia for centuries.

The location of the castle, beacons in the mountains and the Tower of Istmus is based on the famous Lord of the Rings series. Here the White City of Minas Tirith has a line of beacons to request help.
The beacons are the main reason why I've created this feature.

The order, Grandmaster and knights are all based on the Teutonic Order. The weapons and armour are almost an exact copy.
