I hope you'll expand options for king. Just like that, granting titles to lords - maybe with some ceremony if its about important title?
-

Also I wonder, since you can assign a villager to do some specific work - what about you doing the work as villager? For example, you go to Village Elder and ask for a job. Then you get three options.

1) Would you like to involve in construction ? (Available if there is something currently constructing?)
2) Would you like to gather some resources and get paid for it? We need Woodcutters, Miners and Hunters.
3) Would you like other (Since my english is not good I can't think of sentence about usuall/Native "quests" - When you select it he gives you either list of quests either 1 random. Ex: Bandits Drove our Cattle. Train Peasants. Etc. )

I think you'll figure it out already.
--

Also, are those buildings destroyable? I mean, during raid or something? I hope it will. At least damage them -. This way, you'll have to defend your village, repair if raided and stuff.

--

Also, would like to see some bribing. I know its already in - but as far as I understand its for lords? How about troops? Guards? Bandits?
EX:

You want to rescue prisoner? Just like you can bribe village elder to set fire to lure guards you can bribe few guards to escort prisoner in the night and bring him to you (outside castle). No dirty work for you, but costs some money.

Ex2:

You lack of troops? You want someone to help you or hold the enemies while you escape? Pay the bandits/looters - but be aware they can get away with your money.

I bet you already worked out bribing for political matters so I will not bother you with that.
--

Okay, we all know you can use your companion as messanger right? But how about making him visible on map while traveling and attack-able. So that you need to provide him some guards on the way. This would make messaging while under siege a bit harder, messagin while chased aswell. Unless he has high skill "Path Finding" and good navigation skills xD?

(( This doesn't need to be implemented necessary, because you might even planned messaging enemies which in this case would be imposible as they would fight. However thats the risk of it xD. Some enemies execute messangers and send their heads in basket )).

Its all I can think of right now. I  hope it helps a bit

I searched the thread and I could not find anything about diplomacy.
Are you going to include it in some form or would it impede the other things you plan to do?
I am a strong proponent of it, as I enjoy the political intrigue and the ability to recruit without visiting the peasants in their villages. Makes me feel like a real noble

I read somewhere an idea by the mod creator to make titles upgradable. I'm not sure that's a good idea, I mean it wouldn't make much sense for me to be able to proclaim myself Supreme Grand Archduke of Rundown Backwater Village in the Middle of Nowhere Nº367. Just saying...

Maybe your title change depending on what is your holdings.

A village would make you maybe a Baron/Landed Knight.
Holding 3-4 villages or a city would make you a Count.
Etc...

Could be done like in The Guild II.

In The Guild II, you can buy a new title at the town hall. You pay money to upgrade it, a few more requirements would be great as well, and when you have bought a new title, you meet some new requirements that allows you to upgrade your buildings/stores and such. I like how they made it in The Guild II, so I'd just suggest it

Great idea! I was thinking about a separate mine on the world map if you want to become miner. But asking an elder for work is much better.

Europe 1805 vII has the option to destroy village buildings while being in the scene. The plan is to add this to A New Era. But I am more concerned about different villages for different cultures.

How do other people think about this?

The plan is to hire people for your own 'council' like in Crusader Kings II. Hiring marshall, spymaster, chaplain and so on. This plan includes
some of the features you want.

You increase in rank by gaining prestige. In short:
Village/town => Prestige Points => Higher class/title

The Guild II indeed is a very funny game. But in A New Era you need to deserve your title.

Im glad I gave you some ideas. Usually I dont, but this mod is awesome. Now I hate because I quit on learning Python. >.<
I wanted to learn it just for this game xD.

Okay, few other questions/thoughs

•Exchaning fiefs?

Just like in Diplomacy mod - I like this just because kings keep giving me fiefs in center of fight. And I want some peace - therefore I ask someone to switch fiefs, pay the moving bills and Im happy.

• Trade routs/Sending Caravans ?

How about, organising a Trade Caravan from your own party? - So - Instead of traveling to lets say far City to sell your goods while there is some-sort of election you get a Companion with high trade skill - say "I want you to go there and sell this" - add him some soldiers and do your own business.

This might be interesting, but not necessary. Would add some managment on top of it .

• Freelancer thing?
Okay,I bet you already know what Freelancer mod is. In general you can -instead of making- join in Lord's party and take weekly wage instead of paying it. Now,imagine this + Marshal/Spymaster/Steward/Chaplain thing -. So basically you'd WORK as an advisor for a given lord. Objectives?

As Marshal or Captain of Guard - you organise and defend his fiefs. Maybe even organise, recruit, train and send Manhunters/Patrols?

As Steward you work with his treasury (Mayb an option to rob? Or to steal weekly with risk of being discovered?). You make sure no one ELSE is stealing but you .

As Engineer You'd most likely order construction sites in his fiefs and in times of war, help him with siege equipment.

As Spymaster you scout fiefs/partys for him (Or just quest "Scout this, this and this"). Its, again up to you to work it out if you like it . Or even recruit, train and send scouts?

--
Why am I suggesting this? Well, simply because it will give much more option and variety to gameplay. It should allow you to play as people/characters that were only NPC's allowed to be. Which I love! xD

Bribing is definetly a good idea, just set the limits properly. As a peasant, you can't bribe a guard(you shouldn't have the gold for it is what I mean)to release two lords, however as a Duke or something more you should have the influence and power to bribe prison guards, courtiers, vassals(maybe bribe a vassal who dislikes his liege simply not to follow him in battle but to wander off, making you fight less men).

I like delavaskez's suggestions. It would definitely add a huge amount of immersion and Quintillius has proven that he'd be able to pull of that kind of awesome coding.

Im glad I gave you some ideas. Usually I dont, but this mod is awesome. Now I hate because I quit on learning Python. >.<
I wanted to learn it just for this game xD.
Keep giving good ideas and don't quit learning Python. Everyone can learn it and contribute excellent stuff. Base is simple:

(assign, ":box", 2), # Storing 2 in :box
(val_mul, ":box", 3), # Multiplying :box by 3, so 6 is stored in :box now.

•Exchanging fiefs?
Interesting. I might take a look when I have free time. Diplomacy is open source, isn't it?

Trade routs/Sending Caravans ?
I was thinking about this earlier. I have the idea of building a merchant's center, hiring merchants, training them and sending them away for a trade mission.

• Freelancer thing?
I really don't understand how people like it to become immovable because of being stuck in a lord's party... scouting the area continuously.
If you want the immersion of Freelancer, just follow a party.

Nice ideas! Player will certainly have the option to apply for an office in either a village, town or to a lord/King.

Ghehe. Keep those suggestions coming.

Request

Guys, I need you!
Give me some photo's, information, stories, images, screenshots of Arabian village/town buildings.

This is no suggestion to help you with the arabic culture, but you can make for Agonic Order very good mounted knights, a riding skill level Rohan, and you can recruit them when you light the beacons. The Agonic Order's lords would receive more troops too, and maybe his allies can send some parties, let's say a party from Calrad Empire would be called "Calrad War Party", like in TLD.

I hope you don't get distracted and adding too many features that don't go anywhere. Start small and work your way up. What you've got is impressive but don't get carried away.

Not Agovic, but Agonic.

I fear you've summoned the Montenegrin.
Quintillius, if a fellow named Agovic comes to this thread, DO NOT let him suggest a faction. He will badger you into creating a super-elite order of Montenegrin knights or something ridiculous.

Now I can only wait this mod to come out. All my fun with Native, Diplomacy and other mods just died :/.
Damn you Quin!

Yeah,Freelancer isn't for this mod. Right. - I was implying that you should be with him when doing Advisory job. Although after thinking about it - it wont fit.  So no Freelancer.

Its way better if you're free to go where ever you wish and when he needs help he just sends you a message (EX: He besieges a castle and wants you to oversee siege equipment setup/building.) - then you join his party and lets say speed siege process for 10% Per Engineer skill?

If you're Captain of Guard for example it would be nice if you could manage troops in his garrison. Maybe training would come handy? Giving them experiance depending on Training skill. Also what I had in mind is, when he needs troops - you get a message/letter from him and then bring him some from garrison. Quite good right?

As DoctorPainkiller said, I wont distract you with so many features in one day. Keep on the good work, I really like how you do things on this mod!

He already managed to do that with Quiltillius' previous mod project.

Indeed I need to consolidate new features to keep the mod dynamic.
