This site is a complete work in progress.

We are planning to form a warband composed of disciplined berserkers, hence the name, Drótt af Bera, Warband of Bear. We wish everyone in the clan to become very skillful. We wish to have serious and active players in our clan, who enjoys the game and is eager to learn, or share his knowledge, and become better.

History

Historically, the berserker warbands served as schock troops for the king's army. Both King Harald and King Halfdan had berserker shock-troops. Aside from their military value, the berserker's ties to Óðinn would have been welcome in a royal army, since Óðinn also had a particular association with rulership, being venerated in Anglo-Saxon England as the ancestor of chieftains, and throughout the North as god of kings and protector of their royal power.

Berserkergang
Going berserk, more on this later.

Becoming a Berserker, a tale
Working on this.

Goals
[*]Get our own TS, even if the public one is good enough.
[*]Get our own server, where we shalt host for duel mode, as this mod really need a duel server.
[*]Finish this page, by writing poems, stories and such, and also find them if available. Also make this page looks better and such. And banners to be added on this page when fully done (Will be soon)
[*]To train my men to become the very best
Like no ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Each Berserker to understand
The power that's inside

BERSERKER! It's you and me
I know it's my destiny
BERSERKER, oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend
BERSERKER, a heart so true
Our courage will pull us through

You teach me and I'll teach you
BERSERKER, gotta catch 'em all

Every challenge along the way
With courage I will face
I will battle every day
To claim my rightful place

Come with me, the time is right
There's no better team
Arm in arm we'll win the fight
It's always been our dream!!!

Ask me on steam, Tonus of North, if you are interested in joining us.

I had no idea that "skorpufólk" was a word for berserkers in Modern Icelandic. It would mean "crust-people" which sounds kind of weird to me. ^^

Skipverjar Bjarnarins - Crew of the Bear

Ship's name
Björninn - The Bear

Ranks
Stýrimaðr - Captain                (the leader)
Merkismaðr - Banner carrier  (second in command)
Stafnbúi - Prow-dweller          (takes the van when boarding / best fighter)
Háseti - Oarsman                    (the regular crew)

Tag
Name_rank_Bjarna          (Bjarna means "of bears")
For example "Björn stýrimaðr Bjarna" or "Bjorn_styrimadr_Bjarna"

I would have rather used Bjarnarins ("of the bear"), but it's quite a long tag, especially along with a rank.
A possible solution would be to not use the ranks in-game. I'd recommend only using the captain rank and not using the others.
On the other hand, Bjarna is easier to remember and a bit easier to the eye. Beware that "Bjarna" is also the genitive form of "Bjarni",
which is a common male name. Bjarni of course in turn derives from "Björn" meaning just "Bear".

Perhaps you'd leave out the ranks entirely in-game, to allow surnames to be used instead: "Bjorn_Sturluson_Bjarna" or "Bjorn_Sturluson_Bjarnarins".
