Dear stinking turds,

For over two years now, the community has pitched in to fund the official Víkingr server, first Hrafnabjóðr and then HILDILEIKR, allowing us all to spend many hours every day (and on special events) playing this fantastic mod which the developers so generously put so much work into. We ask you to keep it up to ensure the future of Víkingr by paying taxes for donating to the fund!


Here’s how you donate:
Donations are closed
  • Make sure you have a PayPal account or credit card.
  • Go to our Group Pay area
    • Choose the amount you wish to donate and click "Check out with PayPal".
      This will take you to the PayPal login screen where you can use your own PayPal account to actually make the donation.

    The server is paid for 'till the end of June 2015. Additionally, the server fund has €0,50, that means €10,00 to go for the next quarterly payment at 42 slots.​
 
A bit more than half of the needed sum should now be amortized.

Come on folks, lets get the new server safe for the next year or so  :razz:

We now have enough money in the fund to assure that Hildileikr will be around until the end of September. However, we'd like to encourage you guys to keep donating, as we'll need the extra money to pay for slot increases in case we have an event.
 
Note that the server is quite low on funds at the moment. It is paid for until the end of September, however like Hróþa said, for us to be able to host events on our own server we would require a significantly higher amount of money than what we have at present.
 
We hope you had fun at Eoferwic! Events cost money, though, and we're low on funds. More concerning is the fact that, to meet the quarterly payment and cover the slot increase for the event, this community-run server has relied on relatively large donations from only a handful of individuals, which isn't a recipe for stability. So, if you have a few spare dollars and you enjoy Víkingr, please help us keep Hildileikr running!
 
BIG THANKS to One Eye, and also to everyone else who donated! Hildileikr is now guaranteed to be around at least until the end of March 2014. Yes, that is a very long time. Your generosity has far exceeded our expectations, and while barely two weeks ago we were posting pretty desperate pleas for donations, now we can look forward to the future of Víkingr with confidence, all thanks to the community.
 
I don't play Vikingr often, but when I do, I like to have a server to join.

Thanks so much for keeping this server up. I've had many late night drunken brawls with friends and battleaxes on it. I really appreciate it, and I really don't do the server justice with the amount I can donate. This mod has inspired me to really start learning more about my own heritage than I thought I'd ever be interested in since day one of it's release. Looking forward to slaughtering more low porn orcs with you chums!
 
Doesn't matter how much you donate, so long as you make the effort.

If (and this goes to everyone) you feel you cannot donate and are wondering how you can best benefit the Víkingr mod and it's community; spread the word, get people to play it!
 
my share has deposited and thus secured my hard earned funds to the vault. Stinking tax...
It would also seem there was a partly due payment, which I completed by the same amount.
 
Now, the server has had a healthy surplus for a while, and we thank you for it! The times of plenty seems to be nearing an end. But despair not, it is secured until the summer (June will be the 1-year anniversary of Hildileikr); with a few Yule/Christmas donations the server might see another full year!

Consider chipping in with some spare coin, the yule-man will be happy!
