Depends of the shield you want. The huscarl one is pretty bad because it streches the banner, which seems to be quite blurred on it. But for every other nordic shield, these kind of proportions work. I don't know the exact ones though, but by experience I can say that it works good.
If you want your symbol to take the whole space on the shield, I think that you can make the circle even a little bit bigger.

I previously wrote an extensive, almost page long introduction & request but my browser crashed before I could post it. What I want is for you to make me a better banner, I've already got one but it's not exactly perfect, it's my first attempt, so... Bref, here is the banner I made, and the logo i've used. I also included two other alternative logos that you can use to make me a better banner.
Could you also make me a shield, with the banner that i've created. You're more than welcome to leave your opinions. Thanks !

Man is this thread a great find or what! I'd be really, really grateful if someone could help me with a banner I've made. It took me ages since I'm completely incompetent in artistry, but I finally made one - similar to my forum avatar, but for whatever reason the site doesn't allow me to upload my actual design, which is here: http://i.imgur.com/9lbJhXX.jpg
Anyway, if any kind soul could help, I'm good with the design, but in-game, the colors look a bit too vibrant, compared to the rest of the banners. If anyone can make it look more weathered, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance for anyone who takes a look at this. If I make any progress of my own, edit this comment.

Hi everyone, im fairly new to the mount and blade franchise, and have become addicted to the games, recently I have been trying to create a custom sigil/banner, but to no avail. I was wonder if any one could create one for me? I was thinking of a Navy blue background, white a single white stripe going through center from top to bottom, and over that, two black swords crossing each other over the stripe. Sorry, if the request is a bit vague, but i'll leave it to the professionals. If someone could help me with this, I would be very grateful.
