I know i should have used the banner with the cross on the tip, bit it was to long, it didnt look good on foot.
(Pay no attention to the texture problems, shitty onboard graphics card  :x )

This is what I'm currently playing with:

The Scarlet Crusade

Adapted for Mount & Blade as a zealous religious-military order, dedicated to the cause of fighting the khergit-barbarian threat. Allied with the realm of Vaegir.
Currently active characters: Crusader-Lord Adaon Silvershield (strategist/tactician), Lady Lynata Brightflame (mounted paladin).

PS: thanks to RayvenQ for providing the blank white banner I used :)

PPS: D'Sparil: how did you get the banner into the game? need!

By the way, how do you implement custom banners into the game?

You'll need to open (into an program like Photoshop) one of the banner .dds files from the Textures folder in your Mount&Blade folder, and then copy your custom banner over one of those in the image.

Then select it in-game.
:?
I downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and it can't open the banner.dds files?
What version of photoshop did you use?

You can also try one of the many freeware DDS-converters avaiable on the web to swap between DDS<->BMP/JPG/whatever.
Here is the one I'm using right now. :)

Yeah? Well it sure takes a lot more skill then axeing people.

Axing, actually, and a skilled coward is still a coward.

I must resist the urge to make a stupid AXING pun!

Finally got my banner.
My Character's name is Gryphon.

I should mention that the horse art is not by me; I just significantly tweaked some free clipart.  I also need to improve the highlights where they cross the dark bands so they don't look so flat.  I'll get to it eventually, or not, it doesn't really show in-game.

Maybe we should all compile our banners and provide a downloadable mod, From the community, to the community!

That means you can produce a tight suction?
Not sure. Wanna find out, pretty boy?

Sweet, because these custom banners are incredible, maybe you could put then all into an easy downloadable mod?

Would it be possible to add these in, or would they have to replace old ones?

Ah, this sounded like fun.... So i did it!  And, went through the extra effort to make it properly heraldic

The banner of Laird William The Unconquered (of Swadia):

Blazon: Or, A lion rampant gules, between two laurel wreaths vert, inverted the lower.

(that's right, I speak heraldric)

For those of you interested in making up your own banner/coat of arms, here is a
great site that can be a helpful guide in what the colors (tinctures), charges (symbols),
etc all mean and some of the rules that you should be aware of when developing your
coat of arms.

I originally had a red griffon on a field of green before I finally grasped the concept
that in the first rule of tinctures you cannot have metal on metal or a color on a color.
(I only read that several times before it sunk into my thick skull!) ;)

The only problem with making a mod for these is making sure the banners are held up the right way and not stretched.
I anyone wants to have a go though, I'll send them my photoshop file with them all in.
