So here we are again, ready to start Season 2 of the Warband Native League. I hope everyone has been enjoying the Nations Cup and are looking forward to kicking off Europe's biggest clan competition once more.
Tournament Rules
So this season we'll be using a revamped league format. It will be using a a ladder instead of a round robin league, the format will be somewhat reminiscent of ENL Division C. We'll be releasing more concrete details as we get a better understanding of the amount of teams participating.
There will be no final championship bracket and the winner of the ladder will be named as WNL Champions.
The decision to use a ladder was for several reasons. First after a few weeks it naturally divides good teams and bad, which means after the first few weeks we should have matches between fairly equal teams. Secondly it negates the problems of dropouts effectively. Unlike round robins where a dropout means either a missed fixture for some teams or having to nullify previous matches, a ladder can suffer dropouts without difficulty. The final advantage is that it allows teams which join late or improve drastically a chance of winning the title.
