fix for shiny armor shields and missiles in 0.903

I just fixed many of the dds files so armor, missiles and some shields look as shiny as they should ;)

Already tested it with directx9 as well, it works beautifully :)

Found couple of bugs:
Yellow hoods and green woolen caps also shine
Some carpets in interiors and the payday picture are white
Except that its great mod

Are you using directx7 or directx9 render method?
EDIT: Ah yes, sorry about that, I forgot to include costumes8.dds into the zip, will do so right away, thanks for reporting  :oops:
that will fix the hood and the cap, about the carpets and the picture I am a bit confused, will look into that right away
EDIT2: OK I think I know what I screwed up, it seems those mats were not there in previous versions and probably that picture wasn't there either.. argh! will get to fixing that right now, will take me a couple of minutes and will post the new version as soon as I am done
EDIT3: OY! It seems costumes4 and costumes6 alphas aren't right... either that or they made maille armors non-shiny on purpose, I'll take care of them also, but next version will be delayed for like an hour more :P

I'm guessing the melee weapons (metal parts of melee weapons) are shinyfied as well? Or did you leave weapons out of the topic on purpose? :P

they should be shiny already, see the problem is that when m&b uses directx9 render method it correctly makes those armors using the skeleton_shader shader shiny, with directx7 render method, those shaders are ignored, weapons on the other hand, always use the iron_shader shader so they'll always look equally shiny on directx7 and 9.. unless their alphas got screwed, if you see any weapons which don't do the shiny thing report them to me and I'll fix them  and include them later

I use DX7 rendering.

Most of them look a little dull to me, but I guess they're still shiny... ish... atleast they seem to reflect some light. I am not sure what you mean exactly by the shiny thing though.

great axe, it just seems very dull, but then all the axes do. I suppose it has more to do with the actual model itself, though, same with some of the swords, like the bastard sword. Guess they're just low-res or something.

I wouldn't worry about it, though. Awesome pack by the way!

Well 0.900 and 0.901 seem to have kept the unshinyness, if it isn't corrected within a couple of days I'll post a new fix for you to download.. should be easier than the last time since I kept my old textures ;)
