why you guys are not running a sub-forum here yet?

It would increase mods visibility.... In my opinion it deserves more attention from the community, such a great mod.

If I'm not mistaken the thread doesn't quite qualify for a sub-board, but it should do soon. That's something that's always on our minds

That's really cool to hear the mod is still being developed, I just wish there was an NA community since its hard to make it to EU events. That's true for most of the mods hosted over on FSE come to think of it.

Quick Update:

Not only are we adding two brand new factions, but the current factions will also feel the love!

Check out these new additions to Great Britain:

Oh well, so I another faction should be done, perhaps Russian Empire or Austrian Empire, so we willl have 4 or 5 factions

We're working on two new factions that will replace the current Microfactions and 20th Century Units. These new factions will be more balanced with the British, French, and Prussians and can be used in events without a massive imbalance.

They both look look good, I am always pleased to see more troops with the European theatre style helmet on. Piths vs Pickelhaubes never sat right with me.
Personally I am hoping (and predicting) The USA and Russia.

a reputation to uphold. They may not be the

Imperial Artillery

The Imperial forces used American bought
Armstrong guns to great effect. There is
nothing better than an enemy dashed to
bits before he can even get to you.

Samurai/Ninja

The traditional side to war has not
been entirely lost to modernization.
These skilled warriors are deadly with
their blades in close combat and can
take more than one bullet before falling
to the dishonourable firearm wielders.
Choose between a katana, a yumi, or a
naginata for your weapons!

Generals

Choose between a traditional general, armed
with a katana and the traditional armour that
can save your life; or a modern general equipped
with everything that the west has to offer in
weapons

These are not all the units in the Imperial Japan faction. There are more! We will show them to you in due time... or not... surprises are always nice

Now for some credits

Many thanks to Phlpp from the Gekokujo mod for Warband for his wonderful props, weapons, and other contributions to Imperial Japan. There will be lots of epic new maps that will come out of his efforts!

Thanks to SacredStoneHead, for his awesome Samurai Armour which we were able to customize. They defiantly add a lot to the traditional troops.

The OSP samurai pack (Lord of the Golden Fan), made by Bogmir, for his weapons and some other stuff.

Hello you did a mod to NW, I intend to make a singleplayer mod for NW from the Warband module system if anyone knows someone can tell me tell me if this is illegal? thank you

It is. The only way to do it legally is purchase the DLC and build the mod from scratch, then ensure the mod programmed to use an installer for those with copies of the DLC to play to prevent non NW content piracy.

New Faction looks great, cant wait for the next announcement.
I have to ask though, shouldn't the Japanese be using the French Chassepot Rifle (or even a mix of British Sniders and French Chassepots) rather than the Austrian Werndl? Aesthetically and gameplay-wise, it doesn't really matter, the Werndl does match the uniforms nicely. Historically...

No worries XD

Since the British are based a couple of years later, they will still use the Martini Henry; and because of their fantastic policy of staying one firearm model ahead of their colonial troops, the British infantry will still use the Martini Henry. However, the native troops on the UK faction will use the Snider-Enfield.

The British army put this in place after the sepoys rebelled, they always wanted to have the upperhand when it came to weapons, even against their own army XD

"You ask me if I will not be glad when the last battle is fought, so far as the country
is concerned I, of course, must wish for peace, and will be glad when the war is
ended, but if I answer for myself alone, I must say that I shall regret to see the
war end."
- George Armstrong Custer

12th US Infantry

The 12th are one of the United State's oldest and most
decorated infantry regiments. They served in the War of
1812 and the Civil War prior to the later Indian Wars of
the late 19th century.

21st US Infantry

The 21st are a brand new regiment; constituted in May
of 1861 as the 2nd Battalion of the 12th Infantry, they
were reorganised into the 21st five years later after the
Civil War.

27th US Infantry

The 27th were originally absorbed by the 9th in 1869,
However, they were still reffered to as the 27th throu-
ghtout the wars. They took part in engagements, some
of which were Tongue River, Montana; Battle of the
Rosebud; and the Battle of Slim Buttes.

22nd US Infantry

After enjoying a relaxing spell on garrison duty after
the Civil War, the 22nd served in a series of frontier
forts on the Nortern Plains. They're noted for their
hit and run engagements in Montana, their particip-
ation in the Little Big Horn campaign, and more.

United States Marines

The US Marine Corps' reputation for being tough
soldiers is well deserved. From the end of the Civil
War to the closing of the 19th Century they were
involved in over 28 different interventions
jLR6isq.jpg

4th US Cavalry

The 4th has been described as one of the most
effective regiments during the Plains Indian Wars
of the late 19th Century. Stationed on the Texas
Frontier, they cracked down on Indian and Com-
anche raids.

13th US Cavalry

The 13th Infantry are almost as old as the 12th;
although the 13th has been active and inactive
throughout the years. These mounted infantry
men were stationed with their regiment in Montana
and North Dakota between 1867 and 1871.
nISh6Li.jpg

19th Mounted Infantry

The 19th Infantry were organised in 1861 at Indian-
apolis, Indiana. They were reorganised after the
Civil War; their mounted infantry helped play an
important role in the Indian Wars before they were
consolidated with the 28th Infantry.

Crow Scouts

Used by the United States Army during the
Great Sioux War, these native Americans
helped track Indians they perceived to be
hostile. They were noted for their involvement
in the Little Big Horn campaign, and some even
fought later in the Crow War of 1887.

United States Artillery

More mobile and deadly than ever, the new
modern artillery models allowed for the swift
turning of one's enemies into a bloody pulp.
The United States took advantage of the new
advancements, utilizing the British rejected
Armstrong Gun and other new designs.
Depicted here is an 1860 Dahlgren Gun that
replaces the NW fort cannons.
LJTGTcK.jpg

Not only does the US have all the glory that comes with the Army and Navy, they will also have access to Native troops: tomahawk and club wielding footmen, deadly bow warriors, and skilled riders. If you think the United States Marine Corps pack a punch, wait until you get into close combat with these fellows...

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the new faction! Will did all the new uniforms (isn't that scarf fantastic? And the 22nd tunic?); and many thanks to Hinkel's donations here as well, you are a marvellous person (vielen dank)!
