Restrictions
The following unit types are specialized units.
• 1 officer will be used per regiment (1 pistol). Infantry regiments must use muskets with bayonets and are required to have a line of 5 or more men to participate as a separate line in the battle. Also as a new addition to these battles, we are allowing a 2 man scout unit per infantry regiment to split away from the column and scout ahead. Their job is to scout out the enemy and NOT to engage, unless in fear for their lives.
• The scouting unit should consist of a scout cavalry unit on a horse with binoculars and sword and one scout rider with rifle and sword
• Only 1 sapper will be used within Infantry and Skirmisher Regiments (not cavalry).
• Cavalry Regiments will only have 1 Colonel (Cavalry Officer) or 1 General (High Command Staff Officer)
• An Arty battery unit which includes 2 Cannons, 1 shooter per cannon, 1 loader per cannon, 1 officer total and 10 guard men for the unit
• Skirmishers are limited to a 12 man unit (skirmishers are defined as men armed with rifles and do not carry the bayonet of the common infantry man)
• Regiments are not required to march in line like NW we ask you stay in close formation we ask when moving you maintain some form or shape together and your allowed to mob or march in line as you prefer (formation can be defined as 10- 15 man spacing in the battle itself)
• All units either Calvary, Skirmisher, or Infantry if they get below 3 men left alive they need to seek the safety of another unit. ( as in join another unit)
• Cavalry regiments must have a minimum of 5 members and a maximum of 15
• 10 to 15 man spacing in the battle itself. This means there should be no more than 10 - 15 man sized spaces between you and a member of your side or regiment.
• Build points for each side will be 250
• Linebattles will be 20 minutes per round and at 5 minutes the numerical superior side will be forced to charge
• Soldiers are allowed to fire at any time.
• 1/3 of your entire regiment line in attendance are allowed to be rifle carrying infantry!
Rules of the line battle
• Respect the Administrators
• Respect other regiments and the people within them
• Abusive or foul language will not be tolerated
• Do not exploit any of the glitches in the game e.g. glitching inside trees and/or rocks
• Double gunning is permitted
• Bonuses will be turned on during the line battle
• NO Team Killing ( team killing will happen we understand but intentional teamkilling is discouraged)
Siege Rules
When we do have the siege events we will have the following rules for the every other Saturday siege event.
1. Double gunning is permitted
2. time limit will be either 20 minutes or 15 minutes depending on map size.
3. artillery can be used friendly by anyone if your regiment commander wants you to use arty and its open do so. please remember others use it was well so be kind to those using it when you get there
4. defenders are allowed and even encouraged to attack out of the forth in a move called sallying forth. this is allowed and welcomed tactically. it is also required that a unit of at least 4 of the same regiment are allowed to sally forth. you must be with your own regiment to sally forth.
5. attackers are required to move out in groups of 3 from at the time of leaving spawn. if some are killed en-route it is allowed to just form up with the rest of your team and keep advancing.
6. sappers will be allowed on certain siege maps for attackers and defenders. size of map and type will decide. explosive crates may be allowed for sappers on the side of attackers of the map allows for it. as in the size of map and type of fort. but most times explosive crates will not be used by the attackers.
7. 5 lives will be allowed for the defenders!
8. trolling artillery personnel will not be permitted. standing in front of their cannons or team wounding to get a cannon is not permitted and will result in a temp ban. artillery is a first come first serve and if you did not get it don't act like a child and mess with those who have it.
9. the siege event will consist of 1 siege map and 1 LB map as in a random map or custom.
For our Zombie game Event on Wednesdays. the Time will be the same: 8pm EST and final numbers and signup at 730 pm est.
The Rules
1. zombies will be sappers without buildpoints
2. Calvary is allowed if they dismount and kill their horse
3. when a zombie kills someone that person killed will go to the zombie team to help the undead.
4. Regiments are advised to work together as much as possible as we will not be allowed sappers.
5. use of houses and on map cannons are allowed
6. 1 artillery person per regiment is allowed but no spawning cannons to the map
If you DO NOT follow these rules then warnings will be issued to the individual player, as well as the regiment that they represent. If these rules are continuously broken them this may lead to your regiment being kicked from the event and, if necessary, banned from the server. Any actions that are deemed inappropriate will NOT be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly by the Administrators.
Other Information (that may be of concern)
We will attempt to balance the sides to make things as fun and as fair as possible! There is a chance that your regiment will be asked to move to the other team in the middle of the Line-Battle to balance things. We are sorry if this inconveniences you, but it is necessary.
Fortifications were an essential part of the American Civil War. They were used by both sides and the attack and defense of fortifications were part of many battles. We are seeking to achieve a balance between the various arms on the battlefield and will continually monitor our events to ensure we achieve an effective simulation of the American Civil War
