Because we need a sword equivalent to the gun wankery.

This here be my own sword, made by Windlass Steelcraft, its a lovely sword and killed many a bottle.

I showed you mine, show me yours.

I polish my blade 2-3 times a day.

I don't own a sword though.

I have about 25. It gets tiring. Now I'm going to have to dig up some pics.

Edit: Here we go.
My Seax, which I used as a hunting knife for a while.

And my Kroenen blade from Hellboy.

25? Damn. If you tell me you want to build a longship, I'll have no doubt you have plans for the future involving a warband and some piracy and looting.
edit: Those two are sweet.

I'll make some pictures of my armaments tomorrow.

To be fair some of them (7-9, can't remember completely) are pretty ****e. Retrofitted, sharpened souvenir swords and such. I like buying crappy ones, picking them apart and making more practical blades of them.

Imma just crosspost this from my old days. Large pics, and had some new additions since, but:

Ok, I always keep my word; so time for a ridiculous post.

First of all, the "Armoury" shot, which is basically everything together.

Next, we'll go onto my favourites with the Scramseaxs and the Langseax:

DSCF4029.jpg

The next favourite is the single handed sword, Displayed here with scabbard:

DSCF4026.jpg

And here's a close up of the silver fitting on the end of the scabbard:

DSCF4027.jpg

Following on from the single edged sword, we have the Hand and a Half Sword:

DSCF4030.jpg

And a second shot showing the metal wire, which makes it so much easier to grip.

DSCF4031.jpg

And the last sword, the non-battle safe claymore.

DSCF4023.jpg

And the detail for the pommel:

DSCF4024.jpg

Both hand axes here, broad head and a bearded head.

DSCF4028.jpg

Dane axe next, first in whole:

DSCF4032.jpg

And then a close up of the head:

DSCF4033.jpg

Head of the single handed spear: I'd post a shot of the whole thing, but 6 foot of Ash is not an interesting sight.

DSCF4025.jpg

What haft of the two hander that is left... xD

DSCF4034.jpg

And the head itself.

DSCF4035.jpg

Now onto the armour, we'll start with the Rus Helmet:

DSCF4020.jpg

Then my newer Norman helmet:

DSCF4039.jpg

Then a couple of my older helmet, which I was ordered to replace after my other half told me it was getting scabbier than my peasants.... :/

DSCF4040.jpg
DSCF4041.jpg

Both sets of chainmail, one is knee length, the other thigh length:

DSCF4019.jpg
DSCF4018.jpg

Both kite shields, for people wanting a better look at the designs:

DSCF4021.jpg
DSCF4022.jpg

And finally, the only interesting round shield (The other two being plain, single coloured cloth on wood with rawhide bindings.:

The front of the shield is a single sheet of rawhide, and that's 24 carat Gold Leaf on the boss:

DSCF4036.jpg

The back is mainly goat skin, as can be seen here:

DSCF4037.jpg

And a closer look at the handle will show the grip to be wrapped in deerskin, and the inside of the boss covered by ponyskin to avoid bashed knuckles.

Sorry for the delay it took to get posted, and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask in the thread or PM me.

The cigarillo box is 10cm long.

Also, I can't find a lot of my knives.  :???:

They're nowhere near where he could possibly get to them. Most are in the shed until I gan get wall hangings for all. And the rest are spread through various boxes in the office/game room.

By the way. Nice collection Kron. Especially love the Dane axe and the teardrop shield.

And Brom too. Love that first Katana.
